Lucifer's pov:
As I stood in front of the bookstore, I felt nervous. Yes, the Devil felt nervous. I had this fear that maybe I won't find The Staff here but I was more nervous about seeing Evelyn again. I knew I would probably never see her again after this but I didn't care. I just wanted to see her and listen to her voice. I knocked on the door and hoped she was home. The door opened to Evelyn's beautiful face. I tried to keep calm and act like seeing her wasn't affecting me at all. She smiled at me, "Hi. Welcome back. My mother is here today. Come on in."
I walked into the same store and saw a woman sitting at the back of the room. She looked like she was in her forties, with little grey specks of hair among her long black strands. Hearing us come in, she looked up and one could tell Evelyn looked a lot like her mother.
"Hello. Welcome. Evelyn said you came here yesterday to find a book but we're unsuccessful. Well, I can help you out if you let me." she said.
