"What the fuck is happening to me?"
My thoughts kept hovering around those words.
My mind kept spinning as I looked at my small white arms, which were not strong enough to allow me to get away from the red-eyed woman.
—There is no time," said the man who until now was only watching us while he pulled out his sword from somewhere, "you have to -------- it is dangerous -------.
The man kept talking while I tried with all my strength to understand what he was saying, his words seemed similar and at the same time different from my language.
But even if I didn't understand what he was saying I knew something, that death was near.
The woman took me with more strength and met her gaze with me again, formed a smile and said a couple of words, then lifted me even higher and allowed me to observe the place where we were.
—Claank!
It seemed to be a small room, but that thought was discarded when he knocked on the metal door and let me see the landscape that expanded outside.
I didn't have time to look closely as the place was moving fast and even faster was the man's leap out of the door.
The woman holding me squeezed me tighter smiled at me and without pause ran towards the door.
The instant she jumped, time seemed to stop and allowed me to observe the huge moving structure from which we jumped and from which an immense amount of smoke was escaping.
My thoughts stopped when we landed on the snow-covered floor, for a moment I prepared myself for the pain, which never came as the woman had landed on her feet without losing any balance.
—Aeshma!
A scream resounded as a flash of blue light flickered in our direction, soon that flash was replaced by a white one that forced me to close my eyes.
When I opened them again a man held his sword against us, quickly the woman held me with her left hand, and with her right hand, she made a small stick appear from which a green flash came out, piercing directly through her head and splashing us with blood.
The woman who had earlier responded to Aeshma's twist said a couple of words and ran towards the man who was with us earlier.
Just as before I couldn't understand her words, but this time it wasn't just the language but a single one that got stuck in my head.
Son
The only word I understood and the one that exploded inside my mind like a bomb.
It wasn't that I hadn't realized it.
I was just trying to deny it.
A small body like a baby's, being held by a couple watching me with love.
A friend once told me about it.
He said there were people like that in the world.
At the time I told him it was crazy and that I never thought it would happen to me.
Reincarnation.
—Claaaaank
A great clash of metal echoed through the snow-covered valley, stopping my thoughts and forcing me to watch the battle before my eyes.
The man accompanying us was fighting more than a dozen enemies, moving like the rallo himself and maneuvering his sword at incredible speed.
His sword slashes were accurate and lethal and the once white snow had turned red with the blood of the enemies.
It didn't take him long to finish them all off and approach us, swinging his long black hair that contrasted with the white of Aeshma, who was holding me tightly.
Before they could do anything the crunch of snow being stepped on reached our ears, alerting both of us.
We watched carefully as a young man about 15 or 18 years of age emerged from the trees, and when he noticed us, he smiled tenderly.
The two of them relaxed and went to meet him and for the next few seconds exchanged hugs and took the opportunity to pass my small body through the arms of each of them.
When I stopped again in Aeshama's arms the two men looked up expectantly.
To which she responded with a couple of words.
—Cyan Azroael.
I instantly realized that this was the name they had given me.
—Attack them!
A shout with a word I had heard a thousand times before echoed throughout the forest and hastened the actions of the three who were guarding me.
An argument of which I understood little exploded between the three and of which the winner was Aeshma, who lifted me, kissed my forehead and handed me over to the man.
—Ian. He said as he repeated the gesture and handed me to the young man, who had his eyes filled with tears.
—We love you.
That was the last thing I heard as the duo jumped into the barrage of enemies and the young man holding me ran into the depths of the forest.
}—Baaaaang!
Explosions echoed in the distance as we continued to go deeper and deeper, some enemies came closer, but their heads fell like fruit before the young man's sword.
His blows were strong, his movements were fast and his curved sword moved like a fish in water.
Time passed as we left the sound of explosions in the distance.
The young man stopped and proceeded to sit down on the snow, leaning against a large tree.
He looked at me.
There was a bit of conflict in his eyes, hatred, sadness, and pity, but even so, he pulled his body closer to me and hugged me more tenderly than I had ever hugged him in my entire life.
—Fiuuuu!
Just as the heat flooded my body the sound of metal being cut resounded.
The young man tried to dodge, but perhaps realizing that I was in danger, he just covered me in his arms.
—Gaaaaa!
A choked scream escaped from his mouth as an arrow pierced his stomach and exploded inside him.
Blood stained the sheets that protected me from the snow, where the young man left me with a kind smile, and then turned to where even more arrows were coming.
His appeared in his hand, which he moved swiftly, blocking the barrage of attacks.
A quick leap brought him before his enemy among the trees.
The man pointed his staff at him and caused a quick gust of wind to fly in his direction.
He blocked his attack and jumped back, as he fell his sword vibrated and a small green silhouette covered his sword.
With a swift step, he flew towards his enemy, who sent a dozen arrows in his direction.
A step to the left and a slash with his right hand was enough to get rid of them.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the enemy, who tried desperately to defend himself with a blow.
But the young man ducked and used the momentum to turn on his body, planting a kick that cracked the enemy's ribs, who soon after could only watch in fear as a sword cut his two arms as if they were straw.
—Gaaaaaa.
A great scream escaped from his mouth, but was quickly cut off by the young man's sword, which pierced directly through his head.
Before I knew it we were once again advancing through the forest.
Perhaps because I was now a weak baby, my eyes were closing, even if I put up a fight, and in the end, I fell asleep in the young man's bleeding arms.
—Traka Traka.
A rattling sound woke me from my sleep, forcing me to realize that the place where I was had changed.
This appeared to be a cave, illuminated slightly by the firelight that had awakened me earlier.
—Oh!
A voice exclaimed behind me.
I quickly discovered that it was the young man who lifted me in his arms, who like his whole body was covered with blood-stained bandages.
—Aquiz.
For the next few seconds, the young man repeated the same phrase, which I imagined to be his name.
I felt like opening my mouth and telling him that a newborn couldn't digest those words.
But all I could do was raise my hands and hit his grayish hair that fell over his eyes.
He just smiled and hugged me again, transmitting the necessary warmth for me to fall asleep again.
