The deceiving eye

I woke up from the sound of my alarm with a heavy head and bodyache. Then I remembered last night, the most lovely anniversary chris had ever planned. As if everything came straight out of a dream and i was living it for a little too long. The soft music of ocean waves crashing together, slippery sand touching against the bare feet, the couple dance and bonfire, everything was magical. I am blushing by myself then I realize if I don't get up on time, I will make chris late for work. I get up, make him breakfast and lunch and then force him to leave because "it's too hard without you" it is for me too, but i wish we could pay the bills with love. He is gone and I, once again am lost in the memories of last night, the magic of it is too strong to leave my head until my eyes shift towards the newspaper "another girl found missing, was last seen around miami beach" and I think to myself how they are always so close? It's like they are just around the corner but we can never spot them.
