Because of the sudden change in Asher's attitude she did not expect to come from Asher, Nala stepped back, feeling threatened.
Asher glared at her, without even blinking, trying to guess what this woman's problem was. He was really pissed about her comments from before so he wanted to know more as to why she was acting so hostile. According to what he remembered, he had never done anything to offend this woman.

Nala tried pushing Asher away physically which she failed at as Asher was obviously stronger than her, and...now, mad and unmovable.
"Haa...Look. I don't care what your problem is. But you better control that mouth."
