Asher, feeling just like before now, said to the duke as he changed the clothes back into his clothes.
The duke stayed there, looking away from Asher as he was changing, still listening to Asher talk explaining how he wanted to go back so he could report to work today.
But Felix was not ready to let him work yet given his situation.
It's better to rest for another day.
He could make an exception for Asher and pay him if he is really desperate for money.
Since this is all his fault to begin with...
"No duke. I am fine. Alas, all I do is listen to Miss Anne and talk with her. It's not even work."
Asher tried to reason with the duke and Felix also argued back which made Asher provoked and encouraged to start an argument between the two. He wasn't scared anymore.
"You must take a leave and just rest today. If you don't listen to me, then I won't let you leave this room."
