Felix had a tense expression even until the moment he left. Asher was worried about him as it was obvious something was wrong. He tried to ask the duke but all he got were just head shakes trying to say it's all fine.
'It's definitely not fine...'
Asher watched the duke leaving the room in the early hours of the night.
He said he was going to the dinner, but Asher felt like watching this man go to a...war.
Why was he so stiff and tense? He looked uncomfortable.
Asher even had to make sure the duke was not sick because it looked like that.
"Asher, I am going to dinner. I will send you a meal to the room. So wait a little and don't worry I won't starve you here."
Asher felt ridiculous that this was what he had to say before leaving. Why was he even worrying about a meal?
"Thank you duke. Have a nice dinner. I will wait."
Then he watched the duke leave alone.
