'You always in that damn book' I quickly shoved my pencil and my diary in my bag and looked up. Kalique.. I stale faced him and zipped up my book bag 'And I don't know why you keep tryna hide that shit either nobody wanna read it no way" He sat down next to me " I don't remember saying you could sit by me" I mugged him and shooed him away, He mugged me back and turned towards the teacher. I did the same drifting into my own world. I thought about "𝓀𝑒𝓃𝒹𝓇𝒾𝒸𝓀" the character in my stories.

I don't know when exactly I started developing him as a character and making short stories about him but eventually he started to appear in my dreams as well. most stories I write about him are told under the pretense that he is my boyfriend being that I never had one it didn't come as that big of a surprise when my brain reacted the way that it did and threw me into a Ken-Frenzy. I giggled under my breath remembering how obsessed I was with someone I had only made up.

'and what's funny?' Bria turned around and mugged me "this bitch got super ears? how she hear that?" I twisted my up face at her 'girl what?' she stood up and tried to get in my face. Kalique held his nose " damn Monae you just had to bring her funky ass over here" Bria turned and mugged him. I gagged when I smelled her after air." You took future serious huh?" He kept going. I shook my head trying not to laugh. Bria popped her gum " Boy what is you talkin about"

Kalique mugged her "Nun man, but aye do me a favor and back yo burley ass up. Monae ain't een say nun to ya stank ass fa you to be ova here" I couldn't hold my laugh after I saw the look on her face. She huffed and stomped back to her seat, I dapped up kalique as the teacher walked in the classroom. "We will be taking notes today" I sighed and pulled out my notebook. I miss my bed.

I unlocked the door and Kalique pushed past me and ran to the kitchen "Hey mama T" He yelled to my mom who was sitting on the couch 'mm boy what I tell you bout running threw my house" she shook her head and stood up walking towards me 'And what I tell you about sleeping in that lady damn class.. she called me again today' she popped me on the back of the head "Ow ma chill" she shook her head " mhm I better not get another call or imma beat yo ass. I'm not playin with you Mo" I nodded " Okay mama" I rubbed the back of my head

'what do you want to eat for dinner and ask Kali if he staying over' 'Yes!' he shouted from the kitchen. Mama shook her head and looked at me, I shrugged 'I kind of want some seafood alfredo" she nodded and walked off.

I adjusted the straps on my bookbag and headed up the stairs to my room. My phone buzzed I took it out my pocket and saw it was a text from Dominique

'is kali over there?' I sent back a quick 'Yeah.. wassup?" I tossed my phone on the desk in my room and took my diary out of my back pack I fished out my pencil too. I sat at my desk and flipped to a blank page and as I was about to start writing my phone buzzed, It was Domi again " Tell him to text me back" I sent back a thumbs up and turned my phone on DND.

Not even 10 seconds later kali came in my room with his arms filled with snacks. I shook my head and turned back to my diary I had begun mindlessly drawing another picture of Kendrick. I flipped to the page from earlier and began writing again

'𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘦, 𝘐𝘵𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯.. 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘐 𝘢𝘮...𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦' 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴-

'MONAE!!' I looked up hearing my name. I sighed closing my diary and sitting my pencil down. I stood up and stretched shaking my head at Kali sugar crashed on my bed I made my way out of my room downstairs to the kitchen.

'Yes ma'am?' She clicked the stove top off 'The food done, make sure that boy don't eat it all lord knows that boy got 3 stomachs' She shook her head 'And when y'all done eating make sure you put the food up'

I nodded 'Yes ma'am love you ma goodnight' she said goodnight back then walked out the kitchen to her room. I looked at everything she had made. she made seafood alfredo with bacon cheddar biscuits and green beans.

I didn't feel like going to go get Kali so I just got two plates out the cabinet and made both of our plates. I sat the finished plates in the microwave and got out two bottles of water sitting them on the table.

I grabbed two forks and sat them by the water. I put the rest of the food in smaller Tupperware bowls and put them in the fridge "leftovers bout to hit" I grabbed the waters and the food and put the forks in my pocket and used my shoulder to turn of the light before walking upstairs.

I got in my room and sat the food and water on the night stand. 'Kali...Kali wake up I got yo food' He snapped his eyes open and sat up 'I knew that would get yo fat ass up' He flicked me off and I mugged him before handing him his plate and a water. I dug the forks out of my pocket and handed him one before turning to my own food I heard a small thank you from kali, I nodded and took my food to sit at my desk.

We ate in silence except for the sound of our forks hitting our plates and the occasional laugh from Kali when he saw something funny on his Instagram feed. I finished my food and drunk the rest of my water I looked and saw Kali was done too. I took both our plates and empty bottles to the kitchen I sat the empty plates in the sink and threw the bottles in the trash. I heard Kali come down the stairs.

'You leavin?' he nodded walking over to the door to get his shoes. I nodded and gave him a hug 'Be safe and text me when you get home...I got yo location on too' He rolled his eyes and said okay. He walked out the door I closed and locked it behind him before jogging up the stairs to my room.

I shut my door letting out a yawn as soon as I did. I rubbed my eyes and walked over to my closet slipping out of my clothes and putting them in the hamper. I slipped into my pajamas and flicked off the lights. I laid down staring at the ceiling. 'I wish Kendrick was here...' I sighed turning over and closing my eyes dreaming of being asleep in Kendrick arms. I drifted to sleep not aware my dreams would be coming true sooner than I thought
