Adria frowned at Snowbottle, "What do you mean? Did something happen to Squatterbloat!?"
"No!" Snowbottle answered, "Squatterbloat's punishment is light. All he gets is a little cut out of his pay for not reporting about the mission to the higher ups. The person that gets the whip on the ass is Brigadier general Bridges. The higher ups are very mad at him. I heard that they are taking him out completely."
"What do you mean!?"
"It's a forced retirement."
"Was the mission that bad?"
Snowbottle shook his head, "You see, that's the thing. It was not bad. In fact, it was probably the only successful mission that the Citadel ever truly had against the Hole. The vampires were taken unawares, and we even managed to capture another three evolved vampires."
Adria's eyes widened in surprise.
"That's incredible!" Adria commented.
