The Pyramid-looking device soaked in the Aqua regia for some hours. However, when Helen removed the device, she was surprised to see that although the gold had dissolved in the solution, the entire device was not made of gold. Rather, it had now become a block of ceramic. At least, it felt that way to her touch. In fact, apart from its edges, it was probably far smoother.
She turned it around as she felt the smoothness of its surface. However, she suddenly saw something she was sure wasn't there when the device still had its gold-coated surface.
It was the symbol of an eye. It was not glaring and she would have missed it too if the lamp she was using was not bright enough. It looked like a watermark in the background.
