They rushed to him. Neither of them could believe the tragedy before their eyes. Soon enough, other children gathered around. Even Squatterbloat limped his way here. This was a sad, sorrowful time for the children. They all surrounded Adria as tears flowed out and screams echoed on the tombs around them.
Chubin soon came out of his hiding place once he saw that the beast had been taken down. In his confusion about what was happening, he came out and saw his blood-stained brother in tears carrying dead Amelia while the rest of the children surrounded them. Naturally, his tears were added up to the mix.
A soldier ran over to Dr. Pearl, "We have taken down the target Ma'am!" he saluted.
"Hmm!" she nodded.
"What of the Children? should we begin the evacuation process?" The soldier asked.
Dr, Pearl took a look at the crying children. After a while, she sighed, "Not yet! Give them some time to mourn their dead, and then ship them off to Island 19."
