The dark clouds had finally decided to cry out their discomfort as rain to the earth, and they did this for hours. Sasha and her sisters were returning from what they could consider a day of significant harvest begging on the streets. For some reason, they did not know why but the passersby were generous with the contents of their wallets when the girls danced for money.
Because of the rain, most people had run for the cover of shade and warmth. Most stalls had closed up early. The streets barely had any passing by except of course for the usual market dirt being washed by small, muddy flowing streams.
They were passing through the same spot back home, when the eyes of young Amelia caught out of curiosity, a boy kneeling over another boy. It was Chubin kneeling over a badly beaten Adria.
