[Yamaguchi Yutarou — Level 6]
'Woah! It's like I won a loot.'
"Have you picked a club, yet, Yamaguchi—kun?" Keijirou asked.
"Huh? Oh, no. Not yet." Yutarou answered.
"You should join the literature club, then! I'll be choosing that one, too." Keijirou invited.
"Literature, huh? Yeah, I'd like that." Yutarou nodded.
Clubs.
This was the first time when the Yandere Host Club got introduced.
"You can't join our club. Sorry." The president rejected him.
"Why not? Takahashi—kun did." Yutarou inquired the president.
"Well, he's an exception. We're really sorry..." The girl replied.
Yutarou sighed. "It's okay. No big deal." He said and walked away.
Aside from the Yandere Host Club, all the male leads have other clubs, as well.
Akira is in the Yandere Host Club and Science Club.
Kenji is in the Yandere Host Club and Baking Club.
Kazuya is in the Yandere Host Club and Basketball Club.
Izumi is in the Yandere Host Club and Photography Club.
Hiroshi is in the Yandere Host Club and Arts Club.
In short, Yutarou needs to avoid all of those.
'Should I just not join any club? But, I really wanted to be with the MC. The male leads could be stalking him at any five moment and we'll both die!'
The whole day, during breaks and lunch, and even after school, Yutarou tried to join most if not all clubs, but all of them has unexpectedly declined him.
'No way. There's no way, right? Could it be...?'
Yutarou was dumbfounded, finding himself sitting on a chair, his face burried in his hands.
'This is definitely one of Akira's tactics.'
"Rival—kun." Yutarou froze at the sound of the boy's voice.
'I'm screwed.'
He kept on walking but Akira was keeping up with him.
"Have you joined any clubs, yet? As your class representative and a fellow genius, I won't allow you to not have one. We should be a good role model to our fellow students, don't you think?" He uttered, smirking.
"I'm... I'm not that much of a genius, don't worry, Sato—kun." Yutarou just looked at the ground, while walking even faster.
"The teachers will be so disappointed in you. They had high expectations. I talked to them earlier. They had been thinking of giving you academic scholarship." Akira blocked his way.
"...what did you say?" Yutarou
"So, you're finally listening to me, now." Akira fixed his glasses. "Have you joined any clubs, yet, Rival?"
"Yes, actually, I have." Yutarou bluffed.
"Lies. I have a list, and your name is not here. If you're going to lie, make up a good one." Akira's eyes glowed, leaning on him.
In the game, if a male lead's eyes started to glow or shine in any way, it means they have negative emotions or thoughts. That's what Yutarou concluded while being tortured or when he dies, the the yanderes' glowing eyes were the last thing he saw.
It's basically an intimidation.
"What do you want from me, Sato—kun?" Yutarou asked, in not—so—friendly tone.
"I just don't want my rival to fail this early." Akira told him.
'Please, don't pass on your trauma to me.'
"I'll give you another day to think about it. I hope you'll give me a decisive answer tomorrow. Then, goodbye." The black haired boy flashed a benign smile and strolled along the hallways.
Yutarou buried his face on his hands, sighing. "Hah... I'm really screwed. I'm dead. What do I do? This is a good time to pack up my things and just move to another state." He but his lip until it bled.
The next day, whenever Yutarou wasn't in class, he spent his time looking for a club that may accept him.
Even Keijirou help him, but it was for vain.
No one wanted to take him as a member.
'I wonder what Akira did for all these people to reject me...'
"It seems like you have failed." Yutarou flinched as soon as he heard Akira's voice.
"Give me one more day—" He requested.
"Scholarship~." He reminded and pointed on his wristwatch, imitating its ticking sounds.
'What would he gain if I get a scholarship? Why is he doing this? He never done this even with the MC. He only forced them to join the Yandere Host Club.'
"Why do you keep pushing it on me? What would you get if I get a scholarship?" Yutarou consulted.
"Well, as they all said, keep your friends closer and rivals closer." Akira admitted.
"I'd also like to observe my rival. It is very educational." Yutarou's eyes widened while looking at the ground.
'Has he been stalking me?'
"Well, then. What's your answer?" Akira urged.
"I don't know how to be a host." Yutarou reasoned out.
"That's fine. I'll talk with the others. You can just prepare the tea or snacks." Akira eased.
"I'll think about it. For now, I'll keep on trying to join the other clubs." Yutarou informed.
"Go on, then. Try your best." Akira said, smirking.
Yutarou ran as fast as he could, anywhere was fine. He just wanted to escape fr the yandere's grasps.
"Yamaguchi—kun!" Takahashi called out, he was inside their classroom. Yutarou closed the door after coming in.
Yutarou breathed in, calming down. "Takahashi—kun. What's up?" He forced a smile.
"Remember how you can't join any club." Keijirou trailed off.
His smile dropped. "Yeah, that's still my dilemma."
"Well... At least I know the source of it." The blue haired boy continued.
"What?! How?!" Yutarou couldn't believe it.
Not even MC had to go through this.
'Did the plot changed because I got promoted into a game character?'
"The upperclassmen in my club told me why. Well, kinda. I was actually sneaking and overheard their conversation." He informed.
'You mean you eavesdropped?'
"It doesn't matter how I gathered the information, but the thing is. Sato—kun threatened them." Keijirou
"Threatened?"
"Yes, actually it's more if a blackmail. They said that Sato—kun would reveal all their darkest and deepest secrets if they'll let you join." Keijirou explained.
"...what...? Yutarou was speechless. He should've known that this was something Akira would do.
'What is this insanity?'
"I see. So, I have no other choice but to comply to his wishes, huh?" Yutarou sighed, leaning on the wall, letting his body fall slowly to the ground.
"What do you mean?" Takahashi asked, sitting beside him.
"He recruited me to his club." Yutarou uttered.
"Oh my God. He did all these, just so he could recruit you to his club. He's insane." Keijirou's eyes widened at the the information he heard.
Yutarou sprung up, wiping the dust off his clothes. "I'll be back, Takahashi—kun."
Keijirou latched on his arm. "Wait, don't tell me you'd actually join him."
"If I don't, he'll find another way. And, even if a club actually accepts me, I'm sure they'll despise me the moment their secrets are out in the open. So, in the end, I have no choice." Yutarou gulped, his stomach was turning like it's getting squeezed.
'I'd rather comply than die this early. I don't even know if Akira haven't planned my death, yet.'
Yutarou gave Keijirou a smile. "I'll see you around, then, Takahashi—kun." Keijirou let go of the boy. "If I'm not dead, yet." He mumbled under his breath.
"Mm... Be careful, Yamaguchi—kun." Keijirou bid.
"So, you've decided." Akira was standing in front of him the moment he opened the door.
"How long were you there?" Yutarou asked, closing the door. He hoped that Akira won't target Keijirou. It was his mission to protect him, after all.
If he succeeded, he might be able to go home and escape from this hell.
"Long enough to know your decision. Well, then. Shall we have a tour to out club room?" Akira presumed that Yutarou accepted. Yutarou followed him quietly behind.
"This is the abandoned dance club." Yutarou commented.
"Yes, it is. The dance club moved in to the room with lots of mirrors. So, we took this room to ourselves." Akira explained.
"Everyone, let me introduce you to out errand boy!"
'There's literally one person here.'
"Oh! It's you, dear kohai!" Kazuya exclaimed.
"Suzuki—san?" Yutarou pretended that he didn't know he would be here.
"Nah—uh. It's 'senpai' for you, errand boy." Kazuya tapped on his nose.
"Uh—huh." Yutarou stepped back, he didn't want to get to close with the yanderes.
"Well?" Kazuya crossed his arms.
"Huh?" Yutarou stared at Kazuya with a blank expression.
"Call me senpai." Kazuya commanded
"I—" Yutarou was about to decline when he saw Kazuya's glowing green eyes. "Suzuki... Senpai." He piped out.
"Eyy! There you go!" Kazuya ruffled his hair.
"There's only three of us for, now. The other one is running late, so you may not be able to meet him today. We're going to recruit more members, but in the meantime, it's just us. " Akira explained.
"That's fine. I'll hang around anyway." Yutarou spouted.
"That is true." Akira nodded.
"Ahh!!" Yutarou's felt chills run down his spine when Kazuya blew on his neck. "S—senpai, please don't." He requested.
Kazuya laughed, asking, "are you ticklish, Yuu—chan?"
"Yuu—chan...?" Yutarou mumbled.
"Yes, that's what I'll call you from now on. You'll let me, right?" Kazuya smiled. It was supposed to be a good moment, however You felt nothing but chills.
'Eek! Please don't kill me. I'm not ready yet!'
"Y—yes. Please go ahead." Yutarou stammered.
Akira spoke. "Then, I shall start by dropping my honorifics. You should, as well, Yamaguchi."
"I'd rather, not." Yutarou declined.
"Why not? You're calling Suzuki—san, 'senpai'. Besides, we're classmates, right? We're always going to be together." Akira pointed out. "So?" He was tapping his shoes on the floor.
"Fine, fine!" Yutarou complied.
"Great! Well see each other again, soon, Yamaguchi." Akira said his goodbyes.
Yutarou exited the room, his vision was getting blurry.
Water was forming in his eyes.
He walked to his dorm, alone. The sky was dark and the sun was long gone.
'I don't want to die, but it is really tempting right now. I'd rather die by jumping off a building than get burned alive.' Yutarou bit on his nails, not realizing they were bleeding.
"Yamaguchi—kun, stop that! You'll get an infection." Keijirou snapped him back to reality.
"Takahashi—kun." Yutarou's lips were quivering. His trembling arms reached for Keijirou, hugging him.
"Eh? Why are you crying?" Keijirou asked while brushing Yutarou's hair with his gentle fingers.
"I don't wanna die..." Yutarou muttered.
"Huh? Why would you die? You don't have any terminal illness, do you?" Keijirou pulled out of the hug and faced Yutarou.
"It's worse than any terminal illness, if you ask me." He muttered, lying his head in Keijirou's shoulder, again.
"It's going to be okay, Yamaguchi—kun. Come on, we should have fun tonight. It's Sunday tomorrow, anyway." Keijirou eased him.
"That's true. What do you propose we do for fun?" Yutarou questioned.
"Let's binge Lulu's Misadventures!" Keijirou grinned, clenching his fist up in the air.
"Knew it." Yutarou chuckled, wiping his tears.
"Aw. Do you not want to?" Keijirou pouted.
Yutarou patted his head. "I do. Let's go?"
