Chapter 2 - Sweet Child of Mine: Aniya

Not long after the stabbing of Aniya she was rushed to the hospital where they would notify her family about it. Of course they freaked out, so in a quick rush they got to the hospital and arrived there in 5 minutes even though it was a sharp 10 minute drive. Aniya was announced dead on the operating table, she wasn't going to make it due to the wounds she received all over her body but they still had to patch her up and fix her so she wouldn't be bleeding.

After her parents, Nanu (The father) and Ali (The mother) made it to the hospital they were told of their daughter'a death to where both of them broke down in the hallway. Their loud sobs filling the entire first floor of the hospital while nurses accompanied them, hoping to fix it.

——————— {14 Hours Later} ———————

It was like some sort of miracle had had happen, Aniya woke up from seemingly out of nowhere inside of a morgue where they were about to begin an autopsy. She laid there, naked and afraid with only a sheet of cover over her body. "Wh-What? Where am I? Am I in hell?! Oh god, oh god! I thought I did everything right!" She placed her hands onto her head while closing her eyes, not believing that she's in hell because wouldn't it be hot in here? It's awfully cold. After a few seconds of pumping herself up to move she would finally do it, getting herself off of the hard table and keeping the sheet on her body just incase any walked in on her.

"What the hell?" A nurse's voice came from behind Aniya, she already had a scalpel in her hand and she may have watched too many zombie movies yesterday. Aniya didn't turn around because she was scared she might see a demon. "Listen, I don't know where or how I'm here but you have to help me! I hope you're not some sort of de.." Suddenly she was cut off by the nurse screaming and running towards her with the scalpel, Aniya quickly turned around and almost in a flash, bright blue electricity had surrounded her body. "What the?" Aniya started to freak out, but right as the nurse touched her, both of them would receive and large shock, sending both back while Aniya collided into most of the equipment but remained fine while the nurse flew back into a wall, knocking her unconscious.

"Unh.. Aagh.." Aniya groaned while holding the back of her head, finding her body to be in perfect shape even though she topped over multiple objects such as scalpels, razor sharp things and trays. She slowly stood up and quickly grabbed the sheet of cover, placing in front of her body as she held it with one hand, the other hand coming up right in front of her face. "What is this?" Aniya asked herself, blue electricity sparkling through her arm. What exactly happened when she died? Well, I'll gladly explain that to you.

————————— {ABILITY: Bio-Electricity}

Aniya gained the ability to manipulate, create, and shape bio-electricity to her own will. How did she gain this ability? Well, taken aback some of her backstory that has yet to come, Aniya is what they call a Rogue. Inside of her genes are other genes that have been mutated to give people extraordinary abilities such as being able to run at the speed of sound, flying faster than any jet on earth, teleportation, manipulating matter to their will, etc. but, every 300 years there's someone who will become much more powerful each time they die, being able to gain abilities whenever they reawaken. Not everyone has this ability, most only unlock their powers through trauma, grief, depression, or whenever they hit a certain age, though It's not known what age they unlock.

—————————{BACK TO PRESENT DAY}

"I have to get back to Baba and Mama! They're probably freaking out!" She only now realized, but the nurse in front of her was still unconscious so she had to somehow get her help. First she needed some clothes, so that's what she had to do next before randomly screaming she needs help. Aniya turned around and ran for the door, though she opened it very slowly after making sure no one was on the other side. She crept around to a corner and quickly would hide due to hearing voices down the hall, they were coming this way so she needed someway to hide herself. "Quick, quick think! Think! Think, Aniya! C'mon.."

Without realizing, the Bio-Electricity subconsciously covered her body and camouflaged her with the wall. The nurses walked past and made their way inside of the morgue where they would find the other nurse unconscious and Aniya's table is empty. "Oh gosh!" They screamed out, Aniya began to run down the hall as quick as she could once the camouflage had ran out. She bursted through the door and hid behind another corner, peeking her head out to the side in order to see if anyone else was coming or not. Coast is clear, so she moved herself out around the corner and walked to an empty hospital room where she peeked her head over to see anything.

Luckily for her, she did not see anyone inside the room which meant she could possibly get some clothes from inside of there, but since she didn't really think this through, another person in the next room had walked out with a nurse, making conversation with her. "Oh shit!" Aniya whispered, making her way back behind the corner before the two could notice her. After about a minute they finally left and walked down the hall the other way, Aniya coming out around from the corner she walked over to the open door and peeked inside, seeing clothes left on the hospital bed she smirked. "Perfect. She whispered.

Aniya walked inside of the room as she went over to the clothes, quickly putting them on even though they were twice her size but she didn't care. Moments go by and she's dressed down inside of a red t-shirt that reached her knees, black sweatpants, a watch, and some slip-ons. Aniya wasn't one for hats but if it helped hide her identity then she had to wear it, and that's what she wore on top of her head. She walked out of the room and down the hallway where she finally found the main desks of the hospital, what a relief.

"Hey? Are those your clothes?" A nurse asked her behind the desk. "Yeah, these are." Aniya replied, walking even faster now. "No they aren't! Those are someone else's clothes because I saw them here." The nurse exclaimed, everyone all tilting their head up and watching her beginning to walk out. "Just your imagination lady!" Aniya replied back to her. "Hey, stop! Stop right there young lady!" The nurse got up from her desk, but Aniya was so close to the doors, she wasn't one to fight back or even fight at all, so she had to listen and listen she did. The young lady stopped in her tracks as she turned around with her head tilted down, not wanting anyone to see her face or even recognize her at all.

"Why do you have these clothes?" The nurse asked in a polite tone, tilting her head to the right. "Because I.. I needed some? So I just stole what I needed." Aniya admitted pretty easily, but the nurse looked so polite and kind to her. She placed her finger underneath the young lady's chin and lifted it, a smile appearing on her face, it's like she knew who Aniya was. "That's okay. Get out of here Aniya, my car is to your right in the parking lot, make sure to get home safe sweetie." Woah? How did she know her name? Why is she speaking to her like this? What is going on? The nurse gently gripped Aniya's hand and brought her hand up, opening her palm as she gave her keys from seemingly out of nowhere? What the hell?

"What? How do you know who I am? What is going on?!" Then a snap would ring out through her ears. When that happened a flash of red would consume the room, the nurse was back at her desk, everyone wasn't looking at her, and everything seemed to be okay. "Huh?" Aniya had so many questions about what just happened. Did she meet someone who had powers? She didn't know, but she had a goal in mind and that was to get home to her Baba and Mama. The young lady turned, making her way out of the building and going outside to where she picked up this faint scent of some type of metal. She realized the nurse never said anything about what car it was, but it felt like Aniya knew which one she drove for some reason. Unbeknownst to her, the lady had planted the car's image inside of her head and how it would smell, that way Aniya could get there easily. She needed answers, she had questions, she doesn't know what happened but she did have an idea of what could've happened.
