"I wouldn't have bothered you guys if you had left me alone," Leo said coldly. Then, slowly he took out the black blade Katsu as he breathed out, "You will be the first to try out the power of this blade."
The monkeys looked with fear at the young man, and before they could even do anything in this situation, he cut their necks. His skills had finally reached the level where he could easily cut through iron without using Haki.
But he didn't kill them. Instead, he let all the monkeys bleed their blood out to attract other beasts in the forests. That way, they would be eaten alive by the other predators.
Walking to the sea, he jumped into the water. There was no point in building a raft to sail the sea when he could swim. It is also an excellent way to train his body.
In the sea, he was more natural than even the fish, and his lung capacity had already exceeded the normal limits of human beings. At this point, he is truly super-human, and he could watch the beauty of the sea as he swam.
Underneath the clear blue sea, he could see the beautiful fishes of various colors as he glided straight across. He never thought the ocean would be so deep, and he could see that underneath that water was getting darker.
Following the rate at which he swims, he could feel that he was swimming over 20 miles per hour in the seawater. But if he tried to go at his top speed, he could go closer to 40 miles per hour. But there's no point swimming so fast when he could enjoy the excellent corals and fish in the sea.
As he was swimming closer to the next island, he could sense something approaching him at a quick speed. And with his Observation Haki, he dodge away the Sea King's bite, which would have eaten him alive.
Holding his breath underwater, he turned around to notice the sizeable savage beast glaring at him with red eyes.
'This Sea King looks quite familiar,' Leo thought. 'Wait, I think it is the Sea King that bit Shank's arm off in the manga. So it is the Lord of the Coast.'
Underneath the water, his speed is slowed down massively, and he wouldn't be as efficient in displaying his abilities as before on land.
The beast relentlessly keeps trying to eat Leo while he movies away just in time to avoid his attacks, as he takes out his blade and closes his eyes.
'Looks like there's no way to settle things,' he grins. The blue sea is shaking, and all the fishes have disappeared in the beast's presence and the fighting. 'So let me see just how strong you are. Let's see if you can withstand my mightiest attack underwater.'
The beast thought Leo had given up since his enemy had his eyes closed, so it fearlessly opened its mouth wide and launched itself toward him. Its sharp teeth were wide and long, and the stench was smelly even from a distance.
Opening his eyes, he looked at the beast fiercely just as the beast was about to close in on him. Then, finally, he mutters inside his head, 'Die!'
Slashing the blade directly in front of him three-four times with such a rapid speed and pressure that the average human eyes cannot catch.
His blade was so solid and quick that it compressed the water around—the force of the pressure that created compressed air blades. The four slashes formed a spear of light that launched itself directly towards the Lord of the Coast.
The beast could only see a green light flying towards him before his body was cut into four pieces and his blood spewed out. Its eyes are still wide open in disbelief that an enemy this strong could exist.
Seeing that his attack worked to cut apart the Sea King, Leo's eyes flashed with relief as he swam up to the surface of the sea. He relaxes the tension of his body and uses his feet to flutter toward the sea quicker and more lightly.
The closer he got to the surface, the brighter it became, and it was like the glow of the sun was welcoming him up there. The water seems so beautiful and calming, and he particularly likes the tranquility underneath the sea: silence and peace. Better than riding a boat.
Getting through to the surface, he took a large breath of fresh air and smiled as he looked at the clouds floating in the sky. The sun feels warmer than before because he had been underneath the water for so long.
"Looks like I'm still not strong enough," he mutters. "Performing Tobu Zangeki is still too hard without overspending much of my concentration and energy." If it wasn't for the Sea King, he could still go for another 10 minutes underneath the water without feeling a lack of oxygen.
Leo thought back to the anime scenes and how Zoro could efficiently cleave a ship in half after the time skip. It is more challenging than it looks. He could barely make compressed air blades, not to mention an air blade that can cleave a large object in half.
'One day, I'll get there,' he took another deep breath and looked towards an island that didn't seem too far away. Of course, it is pretty blurry, but his observation wouldn't be wrong. He had definitely and finally found an island.
Taking another breath and more air into his lungs, he submerged his body and took himself toward the island's direction.
Finally getting to shore, he laid his tired body on the sand. He is looking up at the glowing sun, settling towards the ground. He doesn't have a clock or watches, but he could guess that the time is probably shortly after 2 in the afternoon.
He finally stood up from the sand and started rubbing his hungry stomach, 'Gosh, I should've picked up some of that fish with Conquer's Haki when I was coming up to shore.'
