"Who the fuck are you?" Questioned the man with his spear at my neck. He wore silver armor inscribed in golden runes and the same went for his spear. He was tall, taller than me at least and he was swole, his arms were more extensive than my body. He had golden hair and black eyes that were as deep as the abyss.
I'd seen those types of eyes before. They are the eyes of a ruthless killer, the type who has no value for the lives of others but doesn't gain any pleasure or satisfaction from it like most psychopaths. These were the eyes of the most dangerous killers, who only see killing as a method, nothing more, nothing less.
"Identify yourself who the fuck are you?" Repeated another man I didn't even realize was here who wore the same armor as his comrade with the spear but had a silver ballistic staff strapped to his back. He was a lot smaller compared to his counterpart but still taller than me, he was slender and somewhat elegant. He had silver hair and blue eyes, giving off a calm and dreaded look.
These two were clearly cultivators and I couldn't sense their cultivation. They weren't average cultivators either, they were hardened warriors who clearly didn't see me as a threat, or I would've been dead already.
As a sign of surrender, I raised my hands in the air and replied calmly, "Chill. I want to know where I am. I woke deep in the forest behind me and spent several hours walking hoping to find an exit and someone who could give me direction."
The two armored men looked at each other and their eyes gleamed in understanding, They then looked back at me and asked in a stern tone, "So let me get this straight, You have no idea where you are and you woke up in a forest and spent the past several hours looking for an escape so that afterward you would find someone to give you directions? Is that correct?"
"Yes" I replied calmly but my eyes shifted between them to see if I could pick up on what they were getting at.
Sensing my inquisitive stare the golden-haired guard smiled, "Alright kid," he said then pulled his spear back, "I'm going to ask you a few questions. Your answers will determine if we let you live, so there's no point in lying. Not only will that set you up for a painful death but my colleague over here will be able to tell if you're lying or not." He explained as he pointed his free hand to his partner.
I smirked in disdain inwardly and tried to hide the amusement that was gleaming in my eyes. As one of the top advisors of the Seven Heavens, I was impossible to read, it would take a miracle for these two to figure out if I was lying or not. But I won't be blinded by arrogance, I have little to no information about these two so maybe they do have means but I highly doubt the staff-wielding man will be able to detect lies from me.
"Go ahead," I replied confidently.
"I will start with something simple then. Did you just wake up in the forest behind you or were you transported here?" He asked.
"I woke up in the forest." I bluntly replied.
He nodded his head, "OK, good start. Was your entire body transported here or did you wake up in this body and assimilate with the memories of the original owner of this body?" He asked with a cold stare that flashed with slight killing intent.
Damn. Why did he have to ask this question? If he asked if I was a native of this world I could've quickly answered yes. When my soul was being blasted through Chaos Heaven I was being marked by its will so I could've quickly passed as a native even if my soul was scanned, but that was only when my soul took over the dead body of a recently deceased native.
That's unfortunately not the case now since my soul formed this temporary body until I awakened my Fallen bloodline, It seems that Chaos Heaven isn't immune to having transmigrators. Having people reincarnate is usual and while there are a lucky few who reincarnate with their past memories intact they usually reincarnate in a different realm and a different era so their past knowledge can only take them so far.
While on paper it seems that there is no wrong answer the critical point here is that I have to be honest. I'm sure that these two won't be able to find out if I'm lying it's better if I don't take the risk right now, I'm a mortal without a shred of cultivation, I'm completely defenseless if they decide to kill me. That would be a waste and an embarrassment.
"My entire body was transported here," I replied honestly yet dishonestly.
The man smiled and patted my shoulder, "Good. It seems that you are just one of 'them'" He said confidently but before I could ask any questions about what he meant space shattered and a distorted black gate appeared in front of us.
I was grabbed by the front of my shirt and thrown into the gate, My head felt like it was spinning but before I could vomit the feeling disappeared as quickly as it came. A white flash blinded me temporarily and when I opened my eyes I was greeted by an astonishing sight.
I honestly expected the world I was in to be medieval but I was very wrong. This place was technologically advanced but it gave off a dark, gritty, and dystopian kind of vibe. If it had to sum it up, it would seem that Chaos Heaven is a cyberpunk dystopia, well this world was at least.
Towers so high that I couldn't see the end pierced the skies as if they were trying to probe the heavens themselves. Flying ships ran through the skies equipped with futuristic weaponry that made surrounding ships steer as far away from them as possible. Neon lights that lit up the dark rainy sky that somehow gave off a peaceful, beautiful yet dark and sinister feeling deep within my soul.
I was in a dystopian cyberpunk metropolis.
"Beautiful isn't it?" The spear-wielding guard that threw me into the gate said, "It still gets me every time no matter how many times I see it."
"Yeah, it is" I spoke honestly enamored by such a view but I knew deep down that below in the city unspeakable cruelty was happening.
"You never told me your name kid. What is it?" He asked as he stood in front of me and crouched so he could stare deep into my eyes, looking for the slightest trace of hesitation.
I've always wondered what my name would be. I wouldn't use Rudra, Rudra is dead, he died after being based on nothingness by that lightning bolt of Necrotic Ethereum, and besides, I'm not even an Angel anymore.
This is a new beginning in a new era and new body, I have to rebrand and reinvent myself. Rudra is dead and gone, out with the old and in with the new.
"Dezryn Sin" I replied calmly and moved my head to the side to get a better view of the city.
"Dezryn Sin huh?" He repeated, "Never heard that name before, but still unique nonetheless." He said and turned his head back towards the city, "Anyways, my name is Saitan, and welcome to the city of Ixtal. Follow us. You need to be with the others before it starts."
"Before what starts?" I asked, "Also who are the others?"
Saitan smiled and stood up on his feet, "Your fellow transmigrators."
