The atmosphere at the table didn't seem like a family gathering. Camellia kept her lips sealed, she didn't want to be the first one to start the conversation. This morning, her dad suddenly called asking for a quick lunch together. It was not like he was his adopted or step dad to her, he was his biological one, so he knew him and already knew what he wanted from her. What made her feel more displeasure was, the source of her stress was also here.
"Mom, steak steak." Christie pointed to the steak picture on the menu.
Camellia glaring at her up and down from the corner of her eyes. Yes, she was judging.
"What?" Noticing Camellia's eyes had been on her for a while, Christie asked in annoyance.
"Nothing." She sneered, "Just eat as much as you want." She shifted her eyes to his dad right away, not in a mood to have a fight today. "What is it?" She cut to the chase, wanting to finish this fake lunch meeting as short as she could.
