The chicken grill on her plate already messed up being cut into pieces. She couldn't get the 'bunga tahi ayam' from her head.
'It's a pity such a pretty face has a very foul mouth.'
The chicken continued to become her victim until all of sudden someone wrapped hand around her neck.
"Woah woah woah…put that down." Noah raised both of his hands seeing how Camellia raised the steak knife up. "It's me...chill."
She looked around, being cautious, before giving him a glare. "I told you, don't hug me. I'm engaged. He might misunderstand me."
"Yeah, again. You and your imaginary fiancé." He pulled the chair and sat next to her. "Hey Amanda." He smiled looking at her that was sitting in front of them.
Camellia rolled her eyes, "We've been friends for seven years already and don't you believe me?"
He pursed his lower lip and shrugged his shoulders, "Well, seven years. I only saw pictures..." He was a little bit skeptical if he didn't see him by himself. He even thought Camellia was just obsessed with some idol and treated him like hers. Well, girls nowadays do things like that.
"He is here." She fed her mouth with a piece of chicken.
"Where? Where?" He sarcastically looked around. He was hundred percent sure the fiancé that she mentioned wouldn't be there.
"Stop being so annoying."
"I won't if you date me." Casually said it, he blinked his eyes several times and brought his face near hers.
Pap!
A smack landed on his forehead.
"Awww! Can't you be more girlish?" He rubbed his forehead. The smack was quite hard and he could feel it up to his eardrums.
"I will if you stop with your stupid joke, and Mr. Noah, pardon me, I am girlish enough." She crossed her legs. The brown cotton short pants that she wore didn't manage to cover up to her knee and her smooth and white legs could be seen. The corner of her upper right lip slightly raised as she jeered at him.
Amanda could only smile looking at both of them bickering. They were like dogs and cats but sometimes, because they were always together some people mistook them for a couple. Seeing both of their appearances, they were like a match made in heaven.
"You're the one who kept on thinking I'm joking." He muttered the words softly, and it couldn't be heard if you were not focusing. He swung his head to Amanda and supported his chin with his palm, "So girl, have you seen her fiancé?"
Amanda's eyes rounded as she was excited to tell the story.
"I guess you don't, right?" Yes, Noah asked and Noah answered. Amanda bit her lip, she was ready to nod her head when Noah cut her out.
Camellia shook her head while clicking her tongue. "How much do you want to bet?"
"What?" He didn't understand the meaning of her question.
"I mean, to prove he is real. How about betting your middle finger." Her sharp and narrow eyes appeared again.
"Okay, okay. I didn't mean to offend you." He tapped slowly on her shoulder as he saw her eyes change, totally. Like she would swallow him if he utter any word.
"I don't have any mood to joke right now." She then stabbed the fork on the chicken and continued eating. Whatever it was, having a regular meal was a must. That was her motto since eating was her favourite thing to do.
"Ah...I'm sorry, okay." He said, putting his face near hers and tried to make her look at him. "Okay, okay. I'll go." He gave up when she pushed his face away without even looking at him. Seven years were quite enough to know when she was mad or moody.
"Ahh! I don't have an appetite!" She said putting the fork down.
Noah had gone already, he had class. Amanda looked at Camellia's plate then looked at her frowning face. She was confused, only two small pieces of chicken left and two or three fries that were cut left in it. To be honest, the plate could be considered empty but knowing how Camellia ate her food before, she could agree if she said she didn't have much appetite.
"Is it about tahi ayam?" Amanda was so clueless. Saying the words once again triggered the annoyance in Camellia's heart.
"Arrghhh!" She messed with her hair. Her bang was now messy as she swiped it to the back.
"But sis, can I ask one question?" Amanda had been holding it for a while and it seemed her curiosity was now at the peak.
"What?" The wrinkles bridge between her brows was still visible.
"The lecturer, I mean Mr. Alexander, is he…?" She stopped her question there, her head tilted a little to the right as she was not sure how to put her question to not make it sounded like she was not believing her.
"This person…" She tapped on her phone to make the wallpaper visible then put it up to show it to her. "How do you think I managed to get this picture?"
Amanda moved her head forward to look at it better, the picture of Alexander sleeping deeply on the sofa or maybe on the bed was shown on the screen.
"Sis…" She made a worried face.
"What???"
"You're not a stalker right…?"
She closed her eyes while gritting her teeth.
'Calm down Camellia...calm down.'
She opened her eyes and put a joker smile, "Do you have any death wishes?"
"Aaaa...I'm joking." Amanda grinned, hoping Camellia wouldn't proceed with whatever she wished to do towards her.
Like the weather, her mood quickly changed back to gloomy. Letting out a huge sigh, she took a look at the picture on her phone's screen. "He didn't even realise it was me."
From afar, there was Alexander standing at the coffee shop inside the cafeteria. At first, he looked at them by chance, but then he became concerned when he spotted one odd man or maybe a student kept on taking pictures of them from the table at their side.
Camellia was seen putting her lip balm on. They were so focused talking that they didn't even realise that. Instead of putting the lip balm back in her bag, she put it on the table before continuing chatting with Amanda. About five minutes later, they were seen standing up, ready to leave.
As soon as they left the cafeteria, the man walked to the table and sat at the exact chair that Camellia was just now. Then he took the lip balm and smiled before sniffing on it. That was for sure creeping the hell out of Alexander.
He realised that just watching won't do any good so he approached the man.
Being more weird, that man now was trying to put the lip balm on but then a hand grabbed his wrist and immediately put a stop to anything he wanted to do at the moment.
"Shall we talk?"
