Alexander took out his phone from his pants pocket. "Look here…" He showed them the number that called him a week ago.
"Oh wait…" Adam looked surprised. "This number…" He paused and rummaged through his pocket to take out his phone. "I think it was the same one I received a week ago…" He scrolled and looked into his call log. "Here…it was the same number right?" He raised his phone screen and showed them.
Michael was quiet. His pupils shook as he was sad she didn't reach out to him.
"So, what did she say?" Adam asked.
"She didn't say much, just called my name and then said 'it's me'." He himself was frustrated, the number was out of reach until now. "How about you, what did she say?"
"I didn't pick it up. I left the phone behind and by the time I checked it. I was left with several missed calls." He called the number back, but never connected, the number was off. Thinking it was a prank or scammer, he stopped after trying two times.
