His robe bellowed, from the top of stairs as he ran down, his smile so bright it sent flashes of memories through my mind, memories of joy, memories of anticipation, memories of pain, so much pain, he scoops me into his arms twirling us around, my own laughter sounded foriegn to my ears, my eyes stung, so many emotions fought in my mind and that strained laugh was all I could muster, when he put me down I said a small prayer that I had a believable smile on my face
When our eyes met his smile didn't waver, good, how many years had it been, he looked so different, that pudgy little boy that waded through the muddy rice paddies with me was gone, in his place was this man, a stronger chin, a small face, sharper features
"Okairi Mii-chan" he welcomed me home, but this place hasn't felt like home in a long time, my turmoils aside I answered
