"What do you mean? What's wrong if I send Kara to do it?"
Rudolf was amazed that Mauree showed disapproval of his decision. The reason is that Mauree insists that Kara is not required to hunt tonight because her hunch says this is not good.
"Rudolf, you trust me, right? Listen to my commands. It's better, it's just yourself hunting or not at all," Mauree snapped.
"Mauree, don't make the situation more difficult. This is Kara's dream! She's my sister who has been loyal to us. It's a matter of pride for her as the first female Jotun to be allowed to hunt. If she succeeds, we will all be proud too," Rudolf explained in a slightly raised tone.
"Then, what if KAra doesn't succeed? Can you guarantee that everything goes smoothly?" Mauree had already begun to get annoyed with Rudolf, who wouldn't hear her.
"I'm sure, she must have succeeded."
Aunt Darla's son, who was initially lying down, strolled toward Mauree. He held the old lady's arm about to say something.
"Grandma Mauree, why shouldn't my mother hunt? In fact, it's been a long time since mom wanted to be a hunter," the child said with a scruffy face.
"It's not that it shouldn't be. In fact, I love your mother so much that I am afraid that something bad will happen to her later. Look, you've been in extreme pain from a human rampage, you don't want it to happen to your mother, do you?" said Mauree as she stroked the head of the child of Kara's aunt.
"I'm sure nothing will happen to my aunt, grandma. She is a tough woman, just yesterday she was able to save me from the wrath of the humans. Please, grant my mother's dream."
Mauree was silent with a puzzled look. She couldn't deny that the request of Aunt Kara's son was enough to touch her heart.
"Of course, your mother is allowed to hunt tonight. Isn't that right, Mauree?" said Rudolf to the child.
The old lady took a deep breath and threw it away violently. When it comes to children, she can't do anything about it. Finally, she said yes with a nod and a faint smile at the child and Adolf.
Soon, Kara's aunt came over carrying a few shabby greyish-brown bags containing something. With zeal, she opened the bag and showed it to Rudolf and Mauree.
"Look at Rudolf... Mauree, are my supplies enough?" asked Kara's aunt for advice.
"I think it's too much. You only need to bring a roll of tree roots and a thick stick of wood just in case. It can make it easier for you to carry captives without having to carry a lot of luggage," Rudolf explained.
"Ah, you're right too. I forgot that Arthur used to do that. All right, I'll just keep the unnecessary stuff."
As if she couldn't wait to hunt, aunt Kara happily immediately prepared what she should have brought without waiting for a long time. Seeing this, Rudolf naturally felt happy. However, only one person doesn't seem too pleased with this decision. Who else if not, Mauree. Had it not been for the plea of Kara's aunt, perhaps she would not have agreed to Arthur's decision.
Night fell. The night that Jotuns were looking forward to, especially Kara's aunt, finally came. The woman was already waiting at the mouth of the cave with supplies ready to hunt.
"Rudolf, once again I am very grateful to you for this. So happy, my heart is pounding because I can't wait to do this!" said aunt Kara with a smile.
"Never mind, Kara. You don't have to overdo it, I just want to please my sister," Rudolf retorted, giving his sister a sweet smile.
"Kara, remember my remarks. Not everything you want you have to get, especially in difficult situations. It could be that it will make you happy because your dream is the real one, it could be a trap that will only make things worse," Mauree said.
"Calm down, Mauree. I am the younger sister of the great Rudolf and the aunt of the tough Arthur. So, that greatness must have flowed in my blood. I make sure everything will be fine," Kara's aunt said confidently.
"Whatever you say. The important thing is, I have already reminded."
Mauree then passes into her room by leaving the other Jotuns who are there to celebrate Kara's aunt's first hunt. But unfortunately, the Jotuns are confused by Mauree's seemingly unfriendly attitude.
'Ah, forget it. Mauree who made it difficult for my hunt. I'll prove to her that her worries are just sheer nonsense!' said aunt Kara silently.
When she set foot out of Howa's cave, Kara's aunt was a little surprised by the weather changes she hadn't expected. Although the sky around the Dark forest area looks very bright, many snowflakes are also falling. She only realized that it was winter so much that she didn't bring more cloth to cover her body if she was cold later. But because she was already halfway there, she decided not to return to the cave and continue his journey. Soon, he also came to the border of the forest and the village of Tanee.
There was an unusual sight when Kara's aunt got there. A barbed wire is attached along the area of Tanee village until there is no gap for giant monsters to enter, especially Jotuns.
"Damn! Why, when I want to hunt, it becomes like this? Barbed wire, snow falling, then what else?" Kara's aunt murmured irritably. She felt unfair about the situation she was facing at the moment. Arthur was much luckier with the vigilance of the villagers of Tanee, who were not too high.
"I must not just give up! It is precise with this kind of circumstance that my toughness is being tested. Come on, Kara... you certainly can!"
Encouraging herself was the only way she wouldn't back down again. After saying that, she also rushed to continue her steps with increasingly unanimous determination.
Slowly she pulled the barbed wire that was blocking her way. Of course, it was difficult for her to do because the wire ties on several wooden bangs beside her were solid. Even so, Kara's aunt did not give up. She tried to pull over the wire until it curved so it could get into the village through the gap she had made.
"Finally! You're brilliant, Darla!" concluded Kara's aunt praising herself for making it past the barbed wire earlier. She tries not to make the slightest noise as much as possible because it will be hazardous for her. Finally, with a slow pace, it settles and hides behind a tree to ascertain the state of affairs.
"The current situation is safe. I can do my stunts without a hitch because Gilda doesn't seem to be here," said Kara's aunt, a monologue.
Just as she was about to continue her action, she suddenly saw something that made her instantly stop the pace and go back to hiding in the tree just now.
"Damn! Who is that woman?! Just surprise me!"
The halt of Kara's aunt's footsteps was caused by something she saw that made her startled. How could he not? In the quiet atmosphere of the village, because the residents seemed to be asleep, she saw a woman who appeared to be playing with her daughter. The daughter is about seven years old. The chuckle that sounded from a mother and daughter had melted aunt Kara's heart and almost developed a smile on her lips.
"Mother, is my homemade cake delicious? Of course it's delicious, isn't it?" asked the sweet girl, who had black hair and two braids.
"Whatever you do is going to be good," praised the mother.
The two of them are equally beautiful and seem to love each other. Aunt Kara then looked around for the second time to ensure safety there. She decided that the pair of mothers and daughters would be her targets.
A grinning smile appeared on Kara's aunt's mouth. She rushed to her target in slow steps without making a sound.
Coincidentally, the mother and her child were hugging each other from the side with their backs to where Kara's aunt appeared.
Step by step, now the distance between the two was so close that it was time for Kara's aunt to launch the action.
Spontaneously, she covered the mother's head with a straw sack until the woman gasped and screamed in fear, holding the monster's hand behind her.
"Mother! No! Help!! There's a Jotun!" the daughter shouted just now.
The mother of the daughter put all her energy into resisting. But unfortunately, it seems that she ran out of strength until a while later, she also fainted.
Meanwhile, the child, still standing in place, tries to help her mother escape the Jotun's confines. But, when she saw her mother fainted weakly without strength, she panicked even more and beat Darla's aunt's leg with her little hand.
"Let go of my mother!" the girl shouted.
"Wow... gosh... you're a brave kid, huh?! If you want your mother, I will take you all to my place of residence with your mother!" concluded aunt Kara.
Aunt Kara managed to hold the child and her already helpless mother forcibly. Then, just as she was about to turn around to go home, she was suddenly startled by Emmett, standing firmly holding the burning torch with a vengeful look at Kara's aunt.
"Gotcha!" Emmett said in a cold tone.
