"This is as far as I can go. That house over there is where you'll be staying. And up there is Cocytus Primary Academy, the school you'll be attending."
As I followed his pointed claw, I took in the sights of the city and mapped out my path from the house to the school and back. It's a lot to take in and honestly, I don't think I'm ready.
"Kreechur, I–"
"Save it, kid. We'll get plenty of chances to see each other."
With that, Kreechur turned and went back the way we came. It was the first time in a long time that I was alone. Truly alone.
'What do you mean "alone"? You have me!'
Right. I'm never going to be alone again.

Walking towards the house, the scenery was quite different from what I was used to. There was a long path that stretched from the tunnel and split going two ways; one in the direction of the house and the other towards the main part of the city.
The entire cavern containing the town was open except for nearer towards the city where there were high walls blocking off certain areas. It allowed me to see through the stalagmite forest towards the edges of the city. The path towards the city was well-maintained and had an intricate pattern to it.
The path towards the house, in contrast, was rough and looked rarely-traveled. Past the stalagmite forest I could see the house was surrounded by fields of mushrooms of all kinds: even Lavaworm Mushrooms.
As well as this, there even seemed to be a small barn behind the house that most likely was used for storage.
The walk to the house was short, especially when compared to walking through Tiamat's Wrath. Arriving at the house, it seemed to be two stories tall and shaped very strangely, with the roof being made of two slanted pieces of stone meeting in the middle, and the rest of the building being made in a rectangular shape; small windows placed on the walls in regular intervals.
When I reached the door, I didn't really know what to do. I didn't want to just walk inside, and I didn't want to wait outside for somebody to invite me in. So Happy and I decided on what was best.
"HELLO?! IS ANYONE THERE!?"
I screamed as loud as possible, hoping that if anyone were inside, they would hear me and come outside.
Luckily, that's exactly what happened. A Demon opened the door, his huge frame taking up the entire space.
His scales were black with a tinge of red, matching his eyes, claws, and horns which were crimson.
His horns curved downward from his temples and ended just below the chin, his left horn cut short near the cheek.
His face was crumpled into an expression of pure anger, probably because of me, and our eyes met as his gaze scanned the area outside of his house.
"Was that you?"
"Yes. I was told by Kreechur to come here."
"He should've also told you to knock. Come in."
As his hulking body went back into the house, I followed him through the door, closing it behind me.
The house inside was quite messy, with signs that he was starting to clean when I showed up. There were small stone figures all over the floor, as well as strange colorings on the walls and floor.
"Dad, who was at the door?"
Then, a voice came from the stairs to the side of us, two small figures following closely behind.
They were two young Demons, with one horn each curving upwards and outwards from their temple. The one with the horn on his left side was blue colored all over, except for his eyes: black on the left and white on the right.
The one with the horn on his right side was red colored all over except for his eyes: black on the right and white on the left.
They looked to be twins not much younger than myself, and also the cause of the mess all around the house.
"Ethan, Caleb, look at this mess! You were supposed to have this cleaned up already! This is Dylan, he will be staying with us for a while. Say hello."
"Hi."
With a greeting said in unison, the two twin Demons ran back upstairs to the dismay of their father.
"I'm Sparda. Your room is up the stairs, first room on the right. The bathroom is the first room on the left. Please, make yourself comfortable."
