For those new to the werewolf type of book. Here are some keywords

Pack: A collection of different families in the same community. Kind of like a town or village

Alpha: The head of the pack. The overall commander. His job to make rules, care for his people and serve them and make sure everyone is safe and in order

Luna: The mother figure of the whole pack. Usually a mate to the alpha. She doesn't have to be a mate to him but she has to be mated and marked by the alpha as his

Mate: kind of like a soulmate. Mates are paired by the moon goddess. They are strongly attracted to each other. They have a mate bond that is extremely powerful and makes staying away from each other nearly impossible. A mate feels down when the other is down and happy when the other is. If they have to reject each other, it's possible but it can take a toil on any or both of them. When a mate dies, the other one is in unbearable pain.

When marked, the bond grows stronger. They can talk through the mind called a mind link, they feel what the other is feeling strongly

Heat: kinda like a period but more intense. The female goes into heat weeks after she meets her mates. Heat occurs to force the mates to become closer and mate with each other

Beta: the next in rank after the Alpha and Luna

Gamma: The chief warrior of the pack also the next in rank after the beta

Omega: Workers of the pack. Also lowest in rank. They could range from Maids, cooks to doctors, nurses etc.

Shift: When the human side of a werewolf turns into a wolf (the animal side).
