Chapter 16 - First warning

The news of Reagan West and Crystal's wedding spread very quickly, dozens of articles on several platforms displaying vividly recorded interviews with Roman West proudly introducing his granddaughter-in-law to the public.

"Can't it be taken down?" Reagan again asked in a muffled voice to Jarvis who was sitting beside him, if usually Jarvis was the driver this time. Reagan took over Jarvis because he couldn't wait to get home.

Jarvis took a deep breath. "Almost all television stations and newspapers have aired the news of you and Crystal's marriage, it's unlikely that it will be possible to bring the news down any time soon."

"Fuck," Reagan cursed for the umpteenth time. "My grandpa has really gone too far and Crytsal looks so happy, I can still clearly remember her evil smile when the reporters congratulated her. Damn it."

"Reagan..."

"Just watch my revenge, I'll make his life hell."

"But it's not Crystal's fault, nor is it your grandfather's fault..."

"I'm not asking your opinion, Jarvis." Reagan cut Jarvis off in a hoarse voice. "You'd better shut up and do your job, ask them to take down the useless news."

Jarvis took a deep breath, talking to this angry Reagan was a useless act and Jarvis forgot about it. Not wanting to make Reagan babble again incoherently, Jarvis decided to re-engage himself with his smart tablet. Meanwhile Reagan returned to focus on his car.

As Reagan drove at high speed in less than forty minutes he finally arrived home, Reagan hurried past several maids who greeted him respectfully. All in Reagan's head right now was to meet Crystal and his grandfather soon.

"Where's my grandfather?!"

Crystal, who had just been sitting on the sofa, gasped in surprise at Reagan's screams.

"You're not deaf, are you? Where's my grandfather?" Reagan repeated his question in a voice that was louder than before.

"Grandpa and James just went out with Doctor Theo."

Reagan raised one eyebrow. "Doctor Theo, why did Doctor Theo come?"

"Doctor Theo took my blood," Crystal answered honestly. "I don't know what for either."

Reagan's face looked more and more horrific, Reagan knew what the purpose of Doctor Theo was to take Crystal's blood. It seemed that the grandfather really wanted to make Crystal his wife for life, thinking about that Reagan's anger became even more overflowing. Reagan roughly gripped Crystal's right arm, the place where doctor Theo had previously taken a small tube of Crystal's blood.

"Ouchhh..."

"Follow me," growled Reagan annoyed, after saying that Reagan pulled Crystal violently into his room.

Reagan paid no heed to Jarvis' words forbidding him to be rude to Crystal, all he had in mind right now was wanting to give Crystal another warning. Reagan didn't want Crystal to get a big head because she had the full support of his grandfather.

Reagan roughly pushed Crystal's thin body onto the floor, not the slightest bit of pity showing on his face at this point. Reagan completely ignored Crystal's groans of pain that sounded so clear to his ears.

"Hey woman!" Reagan immediately gripped Crystal's jaw roughly. "Recognize your position, you are a paid wife. Our marriage is not a real marriage, so don't be big-headed and don't ever appear in any media again. Avoid reporters and don't give them any answers because you are strictly forbidden to do that, do you understand!! !"

Crystal immediately closed her eyes when Reagan spoke right in front of her face, Reagan's hot breath hit the entire skin of her face and it scared Crystal even more.

"If you still want to enjoy your freedom then obey me, because otherwise I'll send you to that club again and this time I'll make sure you don't get out of that place for the rest of your life."

Crystal's tears immediately flooded her face. "D-don't send me back to that place, I don't want to."

"If you don't want to end up in that place then watch your attitude," Reagan said back loudly. "And don't even try to dream of being my real wife because a woman like you is so unfit to be with me, a former whore like you doesn't deserve the title of Mrs West."

Crystal's chest immediately felt tight, Reagan's words not only trampled on her pride but also destroyed her dignity as a woman to nothing.

Seeing Crystal's flowing tears didn't make Reagan feel sorry at all, he actually seemed to really enjoy Crystal's deep sadness. Feeling that his business was done, Reagan then shoved Crystal roughly and left her just like that to the bathroom to freshen up. The news that spread today really made his head hurt so much. Reagan is determined to talk to his grandfather about this, he must give his grandfather a warning not to interfere in his personal affairs with Crystal.

With Crystal's shaking body trying to get up from the floor, she didn't want anyone to see her state even though that wouldn't be possible considering she was currently in Reagan's room which no one could enter.

"I can't make Reagan angry, I don't want to go back to that scary place again. I don't want to," Crystal said hoarsely with tears streaming down her face.

"Ouchhhh..." Crystal immediately looked down, trying to find the source of the discomfort. Crystal's eyes widened when she saw her ankles which were now red, Crystal was sure the bruises would turn purple in no time.

"Its ok Crys, its ok. You'll be fine, you've been through tougher times before."
