If I might, I was actually excited to live a life outside the Green Valley pack. It was just a way to find my own pack. Being an alpha would be just a bonus. But it was my Triad curse that I had been worried about. I would have to use my lizard brain as an addition to the strong Akhmedov werewolf instinct.
Daydreaming.
I finally enrolled in the campus that had the all-know library. It was the only true building with plain colors of black, white and orange. This building was a contrast to be compared to the whole jungle of skyscrapers in the Main Land.
Most of the buildings and skyscrapers in the Main Land were decorated with neon colors and catchy structures just like what I usually saw in the Sci-fi movies. To be honest, I was happy to be here.
It was because I loved buildings along with the knowledge to design and build them. From many kinds of books that I read in the Green Valley library, building designs were my favorites besides the long history of werewolves. I might be the lone wolf, but the history of werewolves, I had known them by heart.
I picked a small room in front of the campus just like what dad told me. He said that I didn't need to have vehicle if I stayed next to the campus. He just didn't know that I had saved for the rainy days. And recently, I set my eyes on a red Ducati. In the Green Valley I ran with my strong furry legs. But in the Main Land, since I had to mingle, Ducati to accompany my speed of running it was.
I sometimes played with a crystal ball that Claire gave me before I departed to Main Land. She said that the crystal ball could be used for seeing the true shape of a person, whether he or she was a demon, another creature, or merely human. Claire also warned me that not all humans could be seen using the crystal ball.
There were some creatures so ancient that the crystal ball couldn't see. For those kinds of creatures, I'd have to find the fact myself. After all I was a student of a campus with an all-know library. Finding the info about ancient creatures wouldn't be a problem.
I hadn't got the chance to browse all the ancient books in the all-know library. I hadn't got the spell breaker for descendant curse in the Akhmedov clan. But in the end, I believed I'd find it. Even if it would take forever, I wouldn't mind. A werewolf could live for more than twenty decades. I was still young, so it wouldn't be a problem for me.
I'd be the last alpha in the Akhmedov clan before I had my offspring. What seemed to be Rizvan's burden was now became my burden. If it was possible, the descendant curse would end with me. Then my descendants didn't need to get through what Rizvan had been through.
Though the Triad – Dad, Chaital and Claire – didn't ask me to find more info about the Triad curse, I still thought that the campus library had the info. I really needed to know how to get through it. I'd been running from any kind of responsibility when I was in the Green Valley.
Thank Moon Goddess dad let me. I guessed he knew that I needed to be free first before I finally had a purpose to find. And who would ever think that the second I had a burden to carry, I had two curses that I had to solve. Jacob was surprised. He just couldn't see the carefree me would ever be burdened with finding the ways to get through two curses at once.
"I pity you, brother. I wish nothing but your success. Please do come in one piece. We're gonna miss you." Jacob sounded sad when I left, but he hid it behind his heavy voice.
Amidst the loads I had to carry, I sometimes missed someone. It was inevitable for a werewolf to find his true mate, his true Luna. So, I had been longing to find her, to find my true Luna. No one was that special in the Green Valley. None of them caught my eyes to have them for mating.
I kept on having this constant dream about a she as a best friend of mine. She was a loyal one who would be there through my thick and thin. She always said, "Birds of a feather flock together".
And I kept on answering," I'm not a bird, I'm a werewolf, through and through!"
Then she just smiled as the strong wind brushed her silver neck-length hair and covered her face. I tried to take a closer look to her face, but I always failed.
She was always in my dream. I had a hunch that she was my Luna, my true mate. But how could I find her? Was she even here in the Main Land? I wouldn't give up that easy.
My Luna, I'd find you even decades had passed.
Ever since I got into this Main Land, my feelings for her kept on growing stronger. Usually, she only appeared once a week in my dream the most, when I was still in the Green Valley.
But here in the Main Land, from twice a week, she appeared even more often until every other night. There were some nights she appeared in sequence. Finally, I knew this was how it felt to have strong bond with the true mate.
I looked up to the moon. It was so blue. Somewhere in another place, I believed she also looked at the same blue moon. We're looking at the same moon.
I was certain, so this was how the Akhmedov clan hunch for their mates worked. Just like dad kept on telling me how it worked. I finally got to feel it. And I was relieved that I AM my father's son, that one day I'd be the Akhmedov Alpha. But before I got to be the Alpha, I had to get through the Triad curse. What made me excited was that, I'd find my Luna after I had through with the third phase of Triad curse.
Wait… someone was behind my back.
Another werewolf!
So, I rushed and looked what on my back was.
There stood him,
In his human form but I could smell his werewolf scent. He was shorter than me with darker skin, bald head and a pair of glasses. He smiled widely.
"Darn it, Ron! You scared me!"
"Am I a ghost to you yet?" he laughed and mocked me.
"Please don't!" I begged him. Then I continue, "You're the only brother I had in the Main Land."
"Don't be that pathetic, 'Krem! You have Jacob in your hometown." Again, he smiled widely while fixing his glasses.
He was so mischievous, wasn't he? Who was he really? Let's find out in the next chapter…
