"I..." Biting her lip, Tara Summer stared at him for dozens of seconds.
Then she suddenly pushed him away and started to back away step by step, "I never said I wanted to leave him, I just wanted to be alone for a while. Can't you just leave me alone!"
Having said that, she turned and rushed to the door, and then slammed the door behind her.
"Tara!?" The man hurried to chase after her, but could only watch helplessly as the elevator doors closed. Inside the elevator, the sight of the woman's pale face, white as paper, was agonizing for him.
George Summer took another elevator down in a panic, but upon reaching the lobby, Tara's figure was nowhere to be seen. He ran out of the hotel, but she was nowhere to be found in the surroundings either.
"Tara!" He cried out hoarsely, drawing the sideways glances of passersby, but he didn't care and kept searching the streets while calling her phone.
