The cellphone fell onto the bed, and at this moment, Tara Summer really wished she could just die and never wake up again.
"Why... why has this happened!?" Her eyes were swollen and stinging, yet not a single tear fell as if she'd already cried herself dry. She roughly clutched the bedsheet, her entire body trembling violently.
She stared blankly at the cellphone, the screen still playing that video on repeat. The gasping sounds were unbearable to hear. She grabbed the phone, intending to smash it hard against the wall.
Suddenly, the phone rang. Tara jolted, looked down, and saw that the incoming call was from the same number that had sent the video.
Without a second thought, she answered it and said, voice cold, "Who are you? What do you want!?"
The other party was silent, not speaking. Tara grew even angrier and shouted, "Speak up, who the hell are you!?"
