Tara Summer waited for a moment, her eyes roving in the darkness; even though she couldn't see, she strained to discern her surroundings.
Her ears weren't idle either, holding her breath and listening to the sounds around her, she could feel someone was in the room but couldn't pinpoint from which direction.
"Liam Yancey, if you don't say anything, I'm really leaving!" she said. Tara Summer's lips curled into a small smile, and she turned to walk away.
Just as she was about to reach the door, a sound finally came from behind her. Tara Summer suppressed a laugh and deliberately slowed her pace.
The man's presence was so strong that in the next second, she felt an overwhelming pressure. She turned her head, and the man's strong arms had already encircled her waist from behind.
Tara instinctively looked up; in the darkness, the man's cool lips had already descended, accurately and unmistakably capturing her own.
