Tara Summer, sensing his concern, quickly shook her head, "It's alright. Audrey didn't mean to upset you. You probably frightened her..."
The man's face remained cold and stiff, silent for a moment, before turning to look at Ava, coldly commanding, "Go, bring her in!"
"Yes…Yes." Ava, with tears still fresh in her eyes, fled in a panic to fetch Audrey.
Not even a minute went by before two young maidservants entered with their heads down. Audrey was barely breathing and her shoulders were trembling.
Before Audrey started working at the Yancey family household, she had heard about Master Liam's disgruntled and alienated demeanor. By the time she arrived, Tara Summer was already there, and Master Liam had barely displayed any signs of anger, let alone vented his fury on the three maidservants.
When the Young Madam left the Yancey family, the three of them were dismissed as well. Naturally, they had no idea whether Master Liam's temper had improved over the year.
