Tara Summer knew the child was hungry, so without hesitation, she pulled out a stack of money from her purse. She stuffed the money into the child's hands, then thought again, and decided to give him all the money she had.
"Take this money, go buy something to eat," she caressed his face, "And, stop stealing, otherwise you will really be caught and taken to the police station. Don't worry, I will help you find the social welfare department. There will be people coming to help you!"
While speaking, Tara Summer had already taken out her phone, she first looked up the phone number of a nearby welfare service in Los Angeles, then made a call.
The social welfare department responded very politely, they promised to send someone immediately after understanding the situation.
Tara Summer breathed a sigh of relief. She intended to grab something to eat with the boy, but as they were just leaving the alley, she noticed a familiar figure under a streetlight in the distance.
