"Let go of me!" She swung her arms forcefully, sending the hand on her forehead flying off.
Karu had one arm wrapped around her shoulder and the other was knocked away; his grip inadvertently loosened, causing her to fall to the ground with a thud.
Fortunately, Tara Summer's head didn't hit the floor, and the distance wasn't great—she hardly felt any pain from the fall.
"F*cking hell!" The thug, carrying a towel and approaching, witnessed the scene, scowled, and threw the towel onto Tara, "Don't turn down a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit. We don't have to care about her; let her bleed out and die!"
"Don't speak rashly," Carter pressed the towel against Tara's forehead to stop the bleeding and said, "Since Miss Ada hasn't specified how to deal with her, we have to ensure she stays alive... Quick, get another bottle of water!"
"Hmph," the thug grudgingly turned away.
