"Tara...." There was joy and anticipation in George Summer's eyes as his arms involuntarily tightened around her.
"No more. Let me go." Tara pushed against his chest, unknowing that his familiar scent stirred her heart, yet she deeply resisted it.
She was a clean freak when it came to love. Since he had been with another woman, they could never be together again.
George did not let go, instead, he held her tighter, his eyes were filled with deep love and pain.
"Let me go!" Tara finally lost her rationality, she punched his chest, her watery eyes blazed, "Stop making me hate you, we can't be together in this life! I'm already someone else's, and you're getting married, why aren't we clear about this? George Summer...."
His name from her lips made him stiffen, he stared at her reddened eyes. His arm that was curled around her waist tightened and then one by one, his fingers relaxed. Eventually, he let her go.
Once free, Tara turned and ran, quickly dashing out the front door.
