"Yancey ..?" Tara Summer was startled, she sat up and reached out to grab his arm.
Liam Yancey took a step back, his voice deep, "I'm going to shower first."
As he finished speaking, he turned around.
In the darkness, only the silhouette of the man could be seen. Tara couldn't see his expression and instantly froze.
Her hand still raised, Liam moved swiftly and before she could even touch the sleeve of his clothes, she watched helplessly as he walked away.
What's wrong with Liam...?
She stood there dumbfounded, staring blankly at the tall shadow disappearing into the bathroom, unable to react for quite a while.
After what seemed like a long time, Tara came back to herself. She opened the floor-to-ceiling curtain and the 7 am sunlight filtered in, illuminating the spacious bedroom.
Tara quickly got up from the bed, and out of anxiety, she dashed barefoot to the bathroom door.
