As she spoke, Tara Summer felt pitiful. She was such an oddball for fainting from menstrual pain.
She looked down shyly, her cheeks turning red.
"You've never experienced this before?"
"Hmm." Tara didn't understand why he was asking, but she nodded firmly, "Never before. It might be because I went swimming and ate chilled lychees, so I caught a chill. I will... be more careful..."
Her voice gradually lowered as she noticed his expression becoming stern, even terrifying.
"Caught a chill?" Liam Yancey gave a cold hum, his eyes filled with icy radiance which frightened Tara, her heart trembling.
"Liam?" She had no idea what she'd said wrong to upset him.
Liam Yancey looked at her pale face, realizing he'd scared her. His expression softened, and he picked her up and laid her on the bed.
"Rest for a bit."
"Will you sleep with me?" Tara held his hand, not letting him retreat.
