"You think you can escape?!" He walked over to her in a few strides, his movements startlingly quick.
Tara Summer's grip on the doorknob stiffened. The man was now whispering to her, "Remember, I'll deal with you later."
With that, his large hand landed on her buttocks, a light slap that wasn't strong but enough to make an impression.
She turned to look at him, her face so red it seemed like it might explode. She was so flustered that she couldn't speak.
Liam Yancey gave her a deep look, then walked out of the room. The smile on his handsome face vanished as soon as he stepped out, replaced by a cool expression.
With a frown, Tara observed the man's broad back and mumbled to herself, "This man was just acting like an absolute scoundrel, and then suddenly he becomes all serious."
