Emily Stone had stabilized herself and withdrawn her hand.
Enduring the intense pain, she raised her hand and saw that from the base of her thumb to her palm, the skin was scalded to a bright red, with a wound about seven or eight centimeters long.
She immediately placed her hand under the tap water to rinse it off and cool it down, her small face already pale.
"Doctor Stone, how is it?" The others in the kitchen also gathered around her, faces filled with concern.
Emily Stone shook her head, "It's fine, no worries..."
She looked up and smiled at everyone, to put them at ease.
The crowd looked on with shock, clearly seeing Doctor Stone's pale face and trembling voice, yet she was still smiling and saying it was nothing.
"It's nothing, just a little treatment and I'll be fine!..." Emily Stone covered her hand and as she walked out she instructed the chef, "Master, please watch the fire for me, I'll be back in a moment!"
