"Alright, alright, I got it." The butler waved his hands, signaling that he could get into the car.
"Goodbye, butler!" Zac Gordon nodded, and before getting into the car, he didn't forget to pat Emily Stone's shoulder, reminding her, "Doctor Stone, work hard and don't make any mistakes!"
"Yes, Director, take care." Emily Stone stepped back a bit, standing about two meters away from the bus before turning to face Frederick.
Frederick handed her the appointment letter. Emily Stone looked down at it carefully, realizing it was a retention letter. She didn't say anything, just stared at Walter Schmidt's signature at the bottom right corner of the document.
The man's handwriting was strong and forceful, just like him, proudly aloof from the world.
"Doctor Stone, I'm holding out hope for you, don't let me down!" Frederick's words seemed to have a double meaning.
Emily Stone could tell there was more to his words, and her face turned red without reason.
