Chapter 5 - CHAPTER IV - Meeting with Snow White

Arato woke up in a sleeping position, left cheek, touching the cold ground.

"Eh, uh...???" He woke himself up from the pile of snow that covered his entire body. He had a confused look on his face, a more appropriate word: stupid. Saliva was still dripping from his lips to his chin like water. Arato wiped his mouth, then turned his head. His head hurts, his left cheek is more, hurts? He thought. Warm breaths escaped from his nose and mouth, instantly freezing in the air.

"This is actually... where?" Arato wondered, not only about his state but also, about his memory. The boy's head feels like just being hit by a block of wood, then, getting thrown under a haystack that had just come out of the refrigerator. His whole body still felt, frozen. Arato slid the messenger bag to his front. He took a scarf out of the bag, and put it around his neck. "Phew." Arato sighed, remembering how lucky he was. "Luckily I brought a scarf." He said.

If only that scarf.

It is very likely that both his forearms and fingers could be affected by frostbite. He moved his whole body like he was doing morning exercises. Avoiding one of the things that had been bothering him for a moment, hypothermia. Arato raised both legs, and, started to run like he was doing a marathon. "Hup-hup-hup!" The longer he ran, the faster he got through the trees covered in white snow. Leaving footprints beneath the frozen ground, I better hurry-. Just as he was thinking of hurrying up. Something stopped him, WOAH! Bro, what the hell is that?? Yamato was startled by whatever was in front of them. Arato panted heavily, taking his breath back. He stopped, sharpened his gaze, and looked ahead with a serious look.

He uses a Dojutsu.

Noh.

That name must sound weird right. Hhhh, Arato exhaled slowly. The dojutsu in his eyes has three magatamas called, Tomoe. However, that eye is not an ordinary eye, but a Sharingan. The color of it was not red, but blue like water. It looks like a fish swimming in the middle of the boy's pupil. "What's? that..." Arato clenched his jaw. He hesitated, wasn't quite sure about anything he saw. "Body." He muttered. An unfamiliar scent entered his nostrils. It's cold, not because of the weather, but because of the smell. Cold as still water, frozen in the winter season. Arato approached the body slowly. His heartbeat grew louder, and louder, like the sound of a bell.

Even though he was used to seeing bodies, it was literally a stiffened body. He knew he wouldn't be used to something like, This. Thought Arato as he stepped forward. He stopped right in front of that body, Well I guess she's dead. Yamato said. He was pretty sure when saw a body from such a close distance, white skin, and so on. He sounded so sure. Arato lowered his head, he put his ear to the girl's nose.

Then,

Shocked backward and fall off.

His eyes were wide open, his pupils wobbling. He felt relieved when he heard the breath that came out of the pale girl's mouth. "Sorry but you're wrong this time. Yamato." Arato smiled. Not only was the girl alive, but also he didn't need to see the corpse of a girl in a black kimono that was slightly torn apart underneath. Is she a noble or, someone serious? Yamato asked Arato. "I don't know." Arato replied. He is unsure of what he was looking at, a Celebrity or a Noble. Because those two things, are serious stuff. There's no need for diplomatic problem... Yamato shrugged. "Right?" He continued, appearing instantly out of nowhere.

Yamato stares at Arato for a few seconds.

He knew that expression, "You stubborn bastard." Yamato sighed. Knowing Arato's expression would only lead them into something more troublesome. He looked down, and speculated on the possible circumstances that were happening. "We've been stuck with this kinda trouble once..." Yamato said. Remember. Then the fire-haired boy disappeared again. "All right. Ma'am." Arato teased him a little.

The boy uses a hand seals,

But this hand seal.

Looks like a rabbit. "Homura!" A blue flame lit up in the center of the boy's right palm. Arato touched the pale girl beneath him with Homura's flame, trying to warm her entire body. She was pale as if there were no veins of blood, but as beautiful as an angel who had fallen from heaven.

"Uhk-uhk!" The girl coughed a few times. Arato tried to lift her from the ground.

But the thing he didn't predict happening.

That girl opened her eyes, pushing both hands towards Arato as he almost touched her cloth.

BRRRRKKKKKK!

almost like that,

The sound of the Ice suddenly crashing like a wall made of hundreds of nails. Throwing trees, snow, dirt, and even himself from where he was standing. The girl in front of her spontaneously stopped her trembling hands. She touched the center of her chest, feeling her heart still beating fast. "Please forgive me. I was. Suddenly. It was a reflection." The girl said it with a very confused expression. Even her words sound like, just throwing anything that comes to her mind. I told you! Yamato yell. He shouted at Arato while noticing their condition. It's a good thing you used Homura's flame in time. Yamato was a little relieved knowing Arato covered his entire body with those blue flames. His flames instantly covered his own body like a blanket that made of fire.

The boy remained silent for a moment.

"That was... crazy." He exhaled the breath that he was holding. "Phewhhhh! I can't believe I'm still alive after getting hit by this…!" Throwing away the words that crossed his mind at that very moment. Standing stood looking at the ice chunks with sharp edges like knives. And his body, almost impaled like a voodoo doll that was almost hit by a nail. The distance from the ice chunk is about 8cm.

And,

His feeling.

Pretty excited.

The girl stood about 10 meters away, and they stared at each other. Things got a little bit awkward, and the Ice lump in front of him was no ordinary Ice Style. The blue flames around Arato's body froze when they came into contact with that technique, or whatever it was. Homura's blue flames were no ordinary fire and this girl froze it like water, it was quite frightening to Arato. But he mustered up the courage, and asked, "Hi. Are... Uhm, are you all right?" Arato asked awkwardly. The pale girl just nodded her head. Judging from the situation, yeah she must have thought you are a robber. Yamato commented. His opinion doesn't make a bad situation any better. Arato slowly dodged the ice chunks, then walked over to the girl.

She seemed to be a little wary of seeing the boy approaching. "Don't worry I'm not a robber or anything..." Arato said. "I'm Uzumaki Arato. A shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village" He introduced himself before going any further.

From the girl's point of view, this creature seems harmless. She thought. The situation around them, you could say, was quite chaotic. The girl looked around her. She looked wary of the situation. The girl's eyes changed instantly, oozing veins around the eyes. Indicates one thing from Arato's perspective. She's looking at the situation, he thought. Arato thinks that maybe he doesn't need to go any further or he'll be the one turning into a frozen turkey in seconds. The dojutsu that the girl used, she's most likely from the Hyuga Clan. Arato only speculated about all the possibilities that were happening. If one were to say, the boy's accuracy in thinking was about 55%, and that was more than enough to raise his guard level higher than usual.

"We..." The girl turned to Arato. "W-w-w-where are we??" She said it nervously. The way she spoke melted the tense atmosphere around them. Arato smiled, scratching his hair thoughtfully, apparently it was just a misunderstanding.

But.

"Appearances can be deceiving." Or so Shu used to say. Remembering that, made him reminisce a little about his childhood. "We're in... Uh, hm. I think it's still around the Land of Fire." Arato said. He wasn't quite sure either, but from the evidence of the pine trees and the same road. It could be said that they were in the forest near the Hidden Leaf Village. Hey, by the way. Didn't you ask who she is or something? Yamato alluded to that. "Yeah." Arato almost forgot to ask her name. "What's your name?" He tried to ask politely. The pale girl glanced at him. "Otsuna." She said, very quietly as a whisper. "Huh???" Arato didn't hear those words. "Otsu." He said. "Na." The girl added. "Oh, so. Otsuna isn't it?" Arato asked again. "Hmm." Otsuna nodded. I'm not really sure, but I think the pale girl's name is Otsuna. She seems to be the type that is shy, and very careful. Otsuna looked up, seeing the sky which was white and gray. It stretches wide enough to make her fascinated by it. The snow that was still falling, fell on her warm cheeks. "This is amazing." Otsuna muttered. The girl seemed to be beaming. Arato looked up at the same sky, gazing at the falling snow. Amazing?? He was quite startled to hear that word, well maybe it was a statement that-. Before Yamato could reply to Arato.

"I forgot! I have to hurry!!" The boy realized something. He turned around, and-.

"Wait!" Otsuna called out to Arato. "Huh!?" Arato turned to Otsuna. "What is it?" He asked. "I may be lost and need your help. Sir." Otsuna lowered her head, she begged the boy for help. From that point of view, Hm… apparently, I can't refuse that either. Arato thought. You better take him to the village. Well just in case. Yamato said. The plan sounded very good. Shinobi in the hidden leaf could help the pale girl in the white dress.

And,

Maybe the Hokage can handle the case head-on. You think the same as I think. Yamato said. No, Arato replied. "I think Mom can help this girl. How about you take her straight to the Hokage's office." Yamato appeared, then said his idea. Actually it's an idea that... Sick dude! Arato completely agreed with Yamato. The fire-haired boy posed, trying to look cool, "Of course." He said. "Partner." Yamato looked quite stupid when he said that. "Geez man." Arato muttered with an even expression. I just hope it doesn't complicate things that are already… quite difficult from the looks of it, he thought. Arato was still looking at Otsuna who seemed, amazed by the actual, ordinary sight before them.
