Father's most expensive belonging would be the sword in his room. It was made of unbreakable steel and could cut you with the lightest touch. The sword could be sold with at least 10 gold pieces, that was even more money than the house. Father told me his father slayed hundreds of monsters with that sword. I told him I will reach the thousand one day.
"I bet you will," he replied to my promise. He called the sword "The Family Sword," but nobody was allowed to touch it, unless he told you to.
The Family Sword was the sword that rested in the hands from the red suited knight before me.
"Never seen it before. It looks to expensive for someone in this village," Martin said.
"What about you?" the red suited knight said while looking at me. He had a lot of muscles and was bigger than his green suited co-worker. He had a lower voice than the other as well. His dark-red hair was a bit spikey. He looked serious to me, howerver his serious eyes looked a bit angry.

"My son doesn't like to speak to strangers, but I can confirm he never saw that sword either."

"I see, in tha..." The green suited knight wanted to end this conversation, but was interrupted.
"I'm not introverted at all." 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘦.
Martin was shocked by my words, even the knights were shocked.
"Then answer me, what about you?" the red suited knight repeated the exact same question.
"Whose blood is it," I replied with a counter question.
"Answer!" The knight spoke loudly and sounded really angry.
"I will not answer until I know my answers." I did not gave up.
The red suited knight made a "grrr" sound and took a step towards me.
"Someone found it in a small house west from Lori village. The victim was a brown haired man laying in the kitchen and he was... headless. The house is currently being searched for clues." The green suited knight answered my question to back off his co-worker. This knight looked a lot nicer and tried to solve everything, by staying calm and treating everyone with respect. He was skinier than his co-worker and had green hair.
𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦, 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘚𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥... 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴?! 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴. "No sir, I just happened to saw that sword in a book I read once." That was a lie, to keep away any suspiciousness.
"I see... I am sorry for taking your time," the green suited knight said, while closing his eyes and touching his left chest. However the red suited knight made a "I will remember
you" look, before they walked away.
"Was that the truth?" Martin asked to me when both knights were out of sight.
"It was." 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵.
Martin nodded and said, "Alright, let's go home."
"Can I ask you a favor?" I asked.
"Sure, ask me anything," Martin replied.
"I want you to teach me magic." 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘥. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦... 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺.

"Then I will stay until you teach me all you know."
"Really?" Martin couldn't believe it but he seemed happy about it.
"Don not make me repeat myself."
"Yes of course, my apologies." 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦. "I will begin teaching you tomorrow." After Martin's promise, we both walked to his house.
When we arrived, Martin showed me around the house and left after that. I watched him leave the street and immediately went upstairs. The back room was my target. 𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥. I stopped thinking and went to the library. I searched for a fire book for beginners. "Let me see. No, no, no, yes and this one." I picked two books called "How To Control Magic" and "The Full Encyclopaedia of Fire Magic." I opened the first one and started to read it. "You need to control your mana to control magic. Every magic sort begins at level zero and you need to level up every sort of magic individually. The more magic you use the more mana you can have, it works like increasing stamina. First you need to open your gate and focus on the element. Once the magic comes out of your gate you used magic. You will feel something, if you can control that feeling you can control magic." These were the most important words I read. I picked a candle laying on the desk and grabbed the fuse with two fingers. 𝘖𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘶𝘣𝘦𝘯, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴. It was quiet for a minute and then... "huh?" the fuse burned with a small fire. "It worked! I knew I could do it." I tried it reversed be putting the fire back in my gate and the fuse dove. "No lets try something harder." I picked the candle, brought it outside and placed it on the grind floor. I took a step back and aimed my finger on the fuse. "Release!" and a I shot a small amount of fire on the fuse. The fuse burned again. "I am such a pro. Just one more thing." I closed my eyes again and said, "release!" I shot some water through my finger pointed at the fuse. The fire dove again. "Alright!" I felt a bit dizzy so I brought the candle back inside and decided to end today's training for today.
I walked to the food storage and to search some food. 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵...? The same piece of bread I consumed yesterday laid on in the storage room. This was the only evidence I needed. "This guy is going to pay!" I made grabbed an apple and went to bed after I finished it.
I refused to wear any of his pyjamas, so I slept In my underwear. And I repeated the sentence on more time, before I fell back asleep, "This guy... is going to pay for this!"
