Chapter 2 - 2.Feats of Strength at the Feet of Keahi

Location: Andisols Village

Event: Local Strongman Competition

Announcer: "And now. Please welcome Our Next Competitor.

The Son of Keahi Volcano. AKAMU!!!!"

The Boy walked out to the Announcement that coincided with the one on TV, with the same hype he had for the Announcement, channeling it here in the Competition he was in

Akamu was competing in a Local Competition in his Village, to select Strongmen who'll get sponsored for the next event.

He came out to the Applause of his Family and Friends with a few from the village members

The Competition was a Yearly Tradition with the Village Strongmen being sponsored by different Farm Owners.

Each trying to capture the Strongman Food Market if their representatives win the Competition, pushing them forward to more events in the future.

The Competition in the Village only consisted of 1 Event. With a Head to head Competition that tested a Competitors Endurance, Strength, Will-Power to the Extreme

And today's event was Fireman's Carry + Deadlift

The Announcer began reading the Rules

"5 competitors take the Stage, lifting weights starting from 70kg and going up to 250kg.

You may hold the weights as long as u want or rest as ur competitor showboats doing that.

But keep in mind points are also allocated for showboating and holding the weights.

Additional points will be awarded to how well the crowd reacts for you

The Eliminations happening when a Lifter gives up at a particular weight limit. With the Final One outlasting all declared the Winner."

The crowd cheered as the Competitors took the Stage to begin the Event.

Akamu was sharing the Stage with his Friend Kai.

Kai didn't have any dreams of making it big in Strongman Competitions. He was Akamu's training buddy who is just participating on Akamu's insistence. But that doesn't mean he'll be a pushover either.

Next up was The Village Favorite Shaan. The New poster boy of Andisols Village. His charm and elegant presentation made him the ideal person to represent the Village in the Strongman Market.

However, he has a tough task ahead as he goes up against The Last Year's Winner Azyne. Known for his incredible crowd control and Getting into his Opponents skin with his showboating and taunts. Mentally he's unbeatable.

But someone who can withstand all the above obstacles is Zayn. The Village chief's son. Debuting as a Rookie alongside Akamu this year.

Compared to all of them, Akamu was looked down on as a pushover who'll be stepped on by the others.

A Theory that'll be put on the test in a few minutes

*The Competition began*

Everyone began showing off starting with the 70kg, taunting each other in a friendly way.

They added extra 10kgs next, breezing past towards 120kg where the fatigue and exhaustion began setting in.

This is where the physical toll was beginning to show.

The Deadlift Competition was designed to test the Lower and Back strength of the Competitors. Putting heavy pressure on the Spine and Legs as the lift began.

Azyne showed his experience at this Stage, not being too hasty, resting before each lift. Making full use of the rules allowing the competitors to rest or move on to the next weight.

Kai however was hasty, doing the Lifts as fast as he could thinking resting would make the pain worsen.

Zayn and Shaan were the ones under pressure from the Crowd as they were being positioned as the favorites to win.

Akamu however, was not showing any signs of fatigue, lifting with a smile on his face.

Maybe it was the zero expectations placed on him, or maybe he just didn't care.

But it was obvious he loved lifting weights.

He held the weights more than his competitors did, testing himself against himself rather than competing against others.

Wanting to see his limits.

As the Competition progressed, The Crowd picked sides as the competitors reached 170kg.

The Difference making lift.

The Bar-bending weight category.
