Abby lunged on top of me, her mass crushing my body under her. She growled at me, and I kicked her stomach but she didn't budge. She put her paws on my throat. Alpha Ryan, Melanie, and Andrew came to help, all three in their wolf form.
My dad ran into her side, knocking her over as she shifts back into human form. My mother pinned her to the ground so she couldn't get up again. Alpha came and helped me up, but I could barely walk. My ribs felt like they were on fire and my neck was extremely bruised, making it hard to speak.
I opened up a mind-link with Alpha. "I can't speak, my vocal cords are bruised."
Alpha verbally growled. His wolf was bigger than all the others. His wolf's name was Hades. He walked towards Abby and told my mother to get off of the blonde wolf. He whispered in Abby's ears, "you're going to pay for hurting my mate."
Abby's eyes widened and looked at me. I didn't understand what he said but it shocked her. My mother and father obviously heard him because they zipped their heads in my direction.
I needed to get out. I needed to go home. I needed Mathias. I whimpered as loud as I could, it came out as a soft bark. It hurt to walk, but I needed to get to Mathias, make sure he was okay. I forced myself to walk into school and into the Alpha's office. Beta wasn't in there, neither was Mathias. I started to panic.
I mind-linked with Beta. "WHERE IS HE?"
The beta replied, "in the packhouse with me. I had to leave because Alpha told me to set up the cells in the basement."
Probably for Abby, I thought
Everything went black. My ears started to ring and my mouth went dry. I collapsed on the floor.

I could feel Jayka's wolf weaken, even without marking her yet. I followed her scent, telling Andrew and Melanie to deal with Abby. I run into my office to find Jayka passed out on the floor. I scoop her up and run to the packhouse, mind-linking with Marcus. "Get my bed ready and have Mathias in my room, I'll be there soon."
I ran as fast as I could, getting there in under fifteen minutes. I burst through the door and ran up to my room, putting her in my bed. Mathias saw her and got in bed with her, hugging her like his life depended on it.
Marcus walked in with a hand towel, placing it on her forehead. "what happened?"
I shifted into human form, my bones popping back in place and putting on clothes before Mathias saw my naked body. "Abby shifted and attacked her. She didn't do anything yet Abby just attacked. I don't understand why she did."
Mathias shook his mother, desperately trying to wake her up. "Momma up! Momma up!"
My heart broke seeing how desperate he shook her, so I pet his head. "Mathias stop shaking her. her rips are broken and she can't talk. Let her rest, she needs it. She can't heal like the rest of us yet."
Marcus was admiring Jayka. I could tell he was talking to his wolf in his head. I found myself even admiring Jayka. She was beautiful with her tan skin and long brown hair.
She had a scar on her arm. I gently touched the scar, wondering how it got there. I mind-linked Marcus. "She's my mate, she doesn't even know it yet." Marcus looked at me and smiled, happy that I found my mate and I was overly happy as well.

I heard talking around me and something hugging me, I assumed it was Mathias. I opened my eyes to see Beta Marcus and Alpha talking to each other while playing videogames.
I tried to speak but it came out like a frog croak. They both turned towards me. I kissed Mathias on his forehead and his eyes shot open, sparkling. "MAMA!" He hugged me tighter and I yelped out in pain.
Marcus picked up Mathias so Mathias wouldn't hurt me. "We need to get fluids and food into you. Marcus, call Bryce and tell him to come over urgently, and tell him to bring his medical stuff." Ryan took Mathias from Marcus and Marcus left the room.
