While the guards stood to watch outside the shelters, Neffy methodically made her way through the construction by stepping between the planks that made up the structure. This allowed her to circumvent the guards without being seen.
Shane was forced to move forward with extreme caution in order to advance his journey, but he was ultimately successful in coming to a stop in the middle of the ocean.
Shane spoke while maintaining his balance by leaning against the buttstock of the rifle, "What do you think will happen now?"
While Shane was turning his head to look into the distance and saying something, he cocked his ear to the sound of the rumble, "Do we have a plan or something for those cannons?"
As Neffy turned around, she noticed that Shane's shoulder was bleeding and that his legs were trembling. She also noticed that Shane's legs were trembling while he was talking.
