Following a brief pause during which they all turned to stare at Brian, the seamen went back to whispering to one another and continued their talk.

Because Brian's mouth was full, he was unable to speak while he chewed his food.
Neferet went up to Shane and leaned close to his ear before uttering something to him, "Well, yesterday when I borrowed a book from the commander. He was reviewing some applications. I think we will go straight to do a mission."
Swallowing slowly, Brian said, "We go to wind fort, the Monagas archipelago." Looking at his companions, Brian said, "Do you know that place?"
While Shane tortured his brain but refrained from making a comment, Neferet indicated agreement with a deliberate bob of her head, "No idea, I'm from the Commonwealth."
