Putting on a smile that she knew Shane couldn't see, she said, "I'm a renegade, remember." Brian began to pick up the pace, "Renegades don't make plans. We have faith."
When Shane heard such comments, he turned around and saw Brian moving quickly toward the edge of the room while he continued to keep his eyes on the rest of the room. Shane was confused by Brian's behavior.
Raising his voice, he said, "Wait, where are you running to!?"
When Brian grinned, his fangs were exposed, and a brilliant glimmer illuminated the deep burgundy color of his eyes. There was not a single word spoken by each of them to the other.
A crimson spark traveled through one of his fangs as he turned his back to flee in the direction of the chasm.
Shane started shrieking after Brian flung him on his shoulder and pulled really hard, which caused Brian to throw Shane on his shoulder in the first place.
While this was going on, Brian reached out with one of his hands and brushed up against the wall to the right.
Jumping into the abyss, Brian started laughing while Shane looked around the room, and yelled at the top of his lungs, "It's the third floor!! I don't have bones of steel!"
While Rebeca maintained her focus on the area outside the square, Neferet and Armin did not move from their positions behind the statue.
As she made her way up the relatively gentle incline, she was the first person to observe the twins walking while making a self-conscious face.
As she lifted her chin, she pointed her finger directly towards the young woman's torso, which triggered the ringing of her bell.
As the twins proceeded forward, their platinum blonde hair could be seen peeking above the brow of the hill, and their violet eyes began to glow brighter as they did so.
The young lady was gently jangling her bell while the young man moved his large sword back and forth between his hands in a meticulous manner.
When Armin glanced at Neferet, who had her signature tan and a strange smile that masked her feelings, he raised one of his eyebrows. Neferet had a strange smile that covered her emotions.
When the identical twins reached the highest point of the hill that overlooked the town square, the girl rang her bell one more time, and the boy positioned his sword so that the point of it was resting on a rock.
There was a drawn-out pause, which Neferet eventually broke by walking forward while she talked, "You are the twins we saw in the forest; glad you are well."
Before turning their attention to Rebeca and Armin, the twins gave her a curious look while staring with wide eyes.
After that, there was a considerable amount of silence that continued until the young girl rang her bell one more time.
Neferet's flame burned across her chest, slightly burning as she maintained a formal smile and asked, "By any chance, didn't you see another group when you came?"
The young woman's mouth was hastily covered with one of her sleeves when she caught a glimpse of Neferet's cleavage, but she did not stop staring at it.
"Vulgar, brother," she said in a casual tone.
The young man cocked his head to the side in order to have a better look at one of the houses.
When Neferet looked at the girl and stated what she had to say, she felt the colors rise to her face, "I had a long night. My name is…."
The young lady scowled and gently lifted her free hand in the direction of Neferet, indicating for her to discontinue whatever activity she was engaged in.
As she gazed deeply into her eyes, she whispered, "Unnecessary."
The gentle click of Rebeca's weapon was the first sound that was heard after the plaza had returned to its previous state of silence. Neferet drew in a slow breath before continuing, "You're right. Let me explain the situation and the reason why we detain you here."
The young lady gazed at Neferet, raised an eyebrow, and then started listening as she recounted the attacks and conflicts that had taken place at that time.
He paid no attention to the magic he had just witnessed and instead focused on discussing the remarkable abilities possessed by Brian, which he explained in great detail.
The statement made the young lady laugh, and she continued to jingle her bell, "And..." She uncovered her face to show her pale skin, somewhat flushed, "This Brian?"
Neferet shrugged as she rested one of her elbows on the miniature statue, and then she questioned, "Knight, like your brother, right?"
The girl's face lost both its smile and its flush as soon as she heard the news. She then continued speaking while maintaining her attitude of indifference, "Too bad."
The young lady replied while cocking her head, "Your fights are irrelevant."
There was a protracted period of stillness before the young man cautiously drew his blade and remarked, "Sister."
