I ponder upon what Mister White Knight had just said.
'Could he be right? Could it be that what I'm currently thinking is true?' I asked myself, but my question has yet to be answered.
"How do you know so much about my family?" I asked, sneering at Mister White Knight with bloodshot eyes.
I'm furious. Not at Mister White Knight, but at myself.
"I don't know much. I'm just guessing, and I apologize for interfering in your family matters. Please accept my sincere apologies." He stated before raising both hands.
I exhale. "I'm not mad at you." I stated, before deciding to continue walking.
"Hey! Don't overthink about it, okay? And you shouldn't try to go to bed on time today." He declares.
Mister White Knight is far away from me, so he had to yell for me to hear what he had just said.
I didn't feel like talking to him because I had other important things to do, which included thinking about how my parents had made me feel like a fool for all these freaking good years.
When I was certain that I was already far away from him, I decided to rest on a nearby playing ground.
I took my seat and exhaled.
I'm not going to cry in public because it could bring my parents down.
I watch as children play happily, and I find myself wishing for something similar.
I've been looking for a way to escape my youth, but after watching these kids play, I realized that what I've always wished for is something that will deprive me of enjoying my youth.
I began to wonder who gave me the idea of wanting to marry.
I've been so focused on finding a husband that I've neglected to enjoy myself, and now my cruel reality is knocking on my door.
I sat on the playground until it closed.
On my way back home, I noticed several couples kissing and holding each other's hands.
Seriously! Do I really want this?
I exhale because I need a bottle of milk to clear my mind. "It could have been the both us?" A male voice could be heard from behind me.
If the person appeared to be my Mister White Knight, I might have blushed as a result of his statement, but unfortunately, the person was none other than Brian.
Seriously! Why does he have to appear right after I've managed to cool off my exploding head?
"If it had been the two of us... I would have poisoned you after feeding you dinner." I stated angrily, my voice hoarse.
Brian laughed. "You mean your word's, Ashley." He declares, as if he knows me better than I know myself.
When I finally turned my gaze to him, I was met with his yellow dirty teeth, which he was currently exposing.
Brian's lips are currently curved, and I'm guessing he's smiling at me, or trying to smile at me. "Try getting your teeth whitened, or simply brush harder." I insulted him before quickening my pace.
I had ignored his previous question because silence is the best answer given to a fool.
Brian is too lazy to keep up, so he sent Henry instead. "My boss said you should hold on." Henry said as he put his hands in front of me to stop me from walking.
Gush! I'm still embarrassed about being played by Brian and his guard or whatever they call him.
The fact that Brian thinks I'm a complete moron is the sole reason I dislike talking to him and anyone related to or close to him. "Henry, dear. Remember that there was a time when I liked you." I utter out of the blue.
He arched his brows because he hadn't expected to hear such a thing, and also because he doesn't understand my statement.
He frowns. "What does that imply?" Henry enquired.
"It means you disgust me. I can't believe I ever fall for a disgusting jerk like you." I course, before attempting to push him out of my way, but it appears as if Henry is determined to see that I do not move away from where I am currently standing.
Henry ruffles his hair while smiling, and after a while his expression becomes solemn. "Hahaha! I can't believe you'd fall for a disgusting jerk like me." He bursts out laughing. "You're also disgusting." He added, before frowning his face once more.
I inhale deeply before exhaling. "Please step back from my front." I declare, because I don't have time to respond to him.
Henry is obviously insane, and likewise his employee, Brian. "You must remain standing because my boss is waiting for you." Henry said, which causes me to turn around to see if Henry, the so-called boss, is already close to me.
Unfortunately! Brian isn't close to me, but I can see him hyperventilating (breathing heavily) as he rests his hands on his knee. "Are you saying that lazy man back there is your boss?" I smirk and tease.
"Wait for him to catch up." Henry declares, still frowning as if he had recently received bad news. "Catch up?" I asked, before scuffing.
"Brian is still having trouble catching up with me, despite the fact that I didn't run away from his side, but instead just walked away." I utter before pausing for a moment. "That dude you call your boss is a weakling, and I can't wait for him because he doesn't have anything nice to offer me, so I'll advise you to step aside." I added.
"Ashley, you must be patient. Just wait for him to tell you whatever he has a..."
I cut Henry off before he could finish his sentence. "Get out of my way, and this is the last time I'm going to warn you." I declare with authority.
I can't possibly wait for Brian to approach me because I have no idea what he intends to tell me, and anything he says to me won't add anything to my life, so I need to be alone as soon as possible.
Henry's hands are still wide open, and I can tell he doesn't want to retreat from my front.
I became enraged, and since I had already warned him... I thrust my right leg forward and kicked Henry in the balls.
"Ouch!" He winced before collapsing on the floor, his hands in-between his legs, because he hadn't seen that coming.
"OMG! Is the floor in okay?" I asked, smiling, as I showed concern for the floor rather than Henry.
