How arrogant! I thought within myself.
I kept on following Mister white knight with a bright smile on my face.
I bet that Charlotte is going to be damm surprised and at the same time overwhelmed, that's when I tells her about the incident today.
"Miss!" Mister white knight called out my name.
"My name is Ashley!" I replied because hearing him call me 'Miss' sounded a little bit weird.
"I don't care about your name." He scuffed, before turning around to gaze at me. "Can you please stop following me?" His question causes me to shake my head sideways.
"Am I disturbing you?" I replied to his question with an obvious question.
"Yeah! and I can't tolerate it." He uttered, staring deeply into my eyes.
I swallow my saliva and then nod my head. "But I'm just...."
Before I was even able to complete my statement, Mister White Knight cut me off.
"I have zero tolerance for annoying stuff, and everything annoys me." He declares, before crossing towards the other side of the road.
Did he just say that I am annoying? I question myself.
Before I was even able to snap back to my thought, I saw that he was already seated inside a car, which is currently on the other side of the road.
I made my way toward them, and this time around I didn't have the intention of disturbing him, but rather I want to thank him officially and perhaps I would also request his number so that I can pay him for the kind gesture.
"Hey!" I called out in a friendly manner, which made him stare at me. "I'm so sorry for my disturbing nature, and I truly want you to know that I'm grateful for your help back there," I added while appreciating him. "If there's anything that I can do to be able to repay you, then I won't mind." I declare.
Yeah! I guess this is the part where he would now have to hand over his phone number to me.
"Young lady! Being fat isn't a bad thing. Okay. And I advise that you don't settle for less just because you seem a little bit different from other ladies." He pauses for a while, before handing over a white handkerchief to me.
'Gush! I guess he must have written his phone number inside the handkerchief. How romantic.' I mumble within me.
"I hope you find a man who's going to cherish and love you! I wish you all the best, and please do have a nice day." He advised, and with that, he accelerated the car engine and drove away.
I continued gazing at his car until it was no longer in front of me.
'Arrrgh!' I exhale, before carrying the napkin close to my nose.
It smells so good, and I just don't want to pull away.
I stopped a moving cab and gave him the address of my destination.
Sitting down inside the cab I continued to sniff the handkerchief until I finally got to my destination.
"What the hell are you sniffing like a slut?" Charlotte asks as she tries to take away the handkerchief from the side of my nose.
"It belongs to a newfound friend of mine," I replied, before making my way toward the kitchen.
"So how did it go?" She asked while sounding curious.
"The person that I had been talking to for a whole year is a scam. He's the bodyguard of a man named Brian, and today they tried to rape me." I will explain.
"Huh?" Charlotte asks because she seems a bit confused. "Can you kindly explain all that had happened?" She pleaded.
Charlotte is my best friend, so I didn't hesitate to start explaining all that had happened to her.
I didn't leave any stone untouched, because the event of today is just something that I can never forget.
"Gush! That Brian of a guy is a complete jerk." Charlotte insulted, which is just as I had taught.
I won't mind if the Brian that I usually video call almost every day become fat, because I treasure the heart more than I treasure appearance.
Well! Truth be told, I treasure appearance and the kindest of hearts.
"So should we report him to the police?" Charlotte asked.
"I don't think that is going to be a good idea, because we have no evidence." I utter, sounding disappointed.
How I wish that Mister White Knight would have contacted the police, instead of using a Bluetooth speaker as a prank.
Like seriously! What if Brian and his companions didn't buy it?
"Anyway! I hope you find someone else before it's too late." Charlotte declared.
"Hey! I'm still in my early twenties. Okay. And nowadays, girls don't hurry to get married because they have to take their time in searching for a kind handsome dude."
Charlotte scuffed while rolling her eyes in dismay. "You are forever going to end up single, because you are too picky." She utter, while rolling her eyes.
"And you are going to end up divorced because you settle for less," I replied. "Anyway! I'm going to bed because today has been a very long day for me." I added.
She suspiciously. gaze at me. "I can see! So you are heading to your room so that you can secretly call your knight in private?" Charlotte teased.
My bestie knows me so well because currently, I intend on calling him secretly, which is the reason why I'm heading inside my room.
"I... I don't know what you are talking about." I stutter while denying the obvious fact.
She drags the handkerchief away from my hand, before running towards the sitting-room door. "Hey! give that back!" I exclaim, but too bad because Charlotte has already opened the handkerchief.
"Ashley! There's nothing inside." She mumbled, before closing the distance, as she made her way toward me.
I took the handkerchief from her hands, and it seems that she was damn right.
There was no single thing inside the handkerchief, not even a number. "Are you sure that no piece of paper drops down?" I question my best friend.
She shook her head sideways and made her way towards the place where she had just opened the napkin.
Staring at the floor, she used her eyes to scan if she would see anything... But then my phone immediately rings.
I brought out my phone from my pocket and was stunned to see that the number which is currently calling me is an unknown ID.
'Could... could it be Mister White Knight?' I question myself in excitement.
