Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Does everything look ready?"

"Yes Sir, I have prepared everything and am ready to go."

"Alright, have a safe flight boy," the boss says as the guy walks to the airport with some luggage as he returns to Japan from America for his vacation.

Before we begin the story, let us first introduce our main character. Syunsaku Ishimaru is his name. After seven years of working as a stock marketer at a black market company in America, a forty-year-old man can say that they are as cunning and greedy as the men of Wall Street. Anyone can live for money and would kill to get it.

Nobody warned Ishimaru about his job, but he overcame his obstacles and lived and survived for three years, surprising the board and making the employees jealous. Living alone after his parents' deaths and remaining alone despite his return because he does not want to share his wealth with his father's brothers because they are drunkards and gamblers who would waste all of his father's hard work. He will only be back for two days to pay his respects to his loved ones.

He was seated comfortably in a passenger airliner seat as he entered the airbus. He was thinking about quitting his job and taking over his father's business, as he now has seven years of experience and is ready to reopen what his father started. But, whether he opens or not, he should be aware of his competitors, particularly his father. Most people would think that was obvious.

However, after careful consideration, The quickest and most efficient way to neutralize any competitor is to lower them and find their weak point, and the more enemies you eliminate, the more money and power you gain. It is only natural that if there is a demand, there will be a supply. As he removes his laptop and types his work contract in order to reopen his company and fulfill his father's wishes by disappointing the competitors. After finishing, he edits a draft document that was mentioned resignation.

"Finally, this is also finished; now I am free of this company and will give glory to Otou-san."

He thought it was destiny, but he believed too much....

Unfortunately, it appears that Ishimaru's job was coming to an end as the explosion violently shook the airliner.

The plane began rapidly losing altitude. He realized this was all planned by his boss because he was unsure if his actions as he checked the panicked passengers on the plane were legal.

The steward and air hostess got up from their seat and ran towards the front of the plane, pushing through the panicking passengers, eliciting exclamations of surprise from them and broke into the cockpit.Of course, there were those who tried to interfere while he was doing so, Ishimaru knew to ride planes and volunteered to help. He told them he knew to ride a plane as he learned from his army days when he was a student.

In the cockpit, the Captain andhad died due to seizure and the first officer was panicking.

The altitude is rapidly decreasing. It's impossible for him to land the plane, but he might be able to survive on his own. The plane was flying over a city at the time.

As things currently stand, the plane would crash into the city, causing extensive damage. Before that can happen, the plane must be disintegrated.

The decision is correct, but it would normally take more time to reach that conclusion. When he looked to his left, the engine was on fire.

"F**k you, Devils," he said as he attempted to control the plane while the passengers screamed in terror.

It's unfortunate. If only it had been a plane crash, he would still have a few survival tricks up his sleeve.

He knew this was the end and that he would be killed by his emotions, so he obeyed orders as a tool of the organization until today.

He was loyal enough to die if he was told to.

Having had his loyalty trampled, he is experiencing doubts about life for the first time, and he wishes for peace.

If there is another life, I want to live for myself, not as a tool for someone else. While wishing such things, he continued to take the necessary precautions to ensure his survival until the very last second.

*Bamm!....*

A white light sparked him and his mind went totally blank.

"Where am I?"

He open his eyes and found himself in a beautiful cave .There was a temple before him as he walked

"Is this heaven"

It resembled the Antelope Canyon which he witnessed during his trip to Arizona, He walked inside an ancient-looking temple made of crystals and water which bear sweet nectar.

"This is really heaven"

He begins to assess the current situation. It was impossible to get out of that situation or be saved.

"No, that is incorrect. Everything that had happened before was true. You were brave but foolish in attempting to stop the plane, but you were killed because the passengers were wise enough to jump and save their lives, while you believed you would become a hero. Kus....Kus....Kus....How pitiful!..."

He looked around and noticed a brownish-haired woman giggling and smiling in a white gown. It's not just her hair and clothing. Her skin, eyes, and almost every other part of her are white. Absolutely stunning. She was too perfect in every way, with every aspect of her hitting the golden ratio. An existence far beyond that of ordinary humans. However, don't you think her frank tone detracts from her image?

"Who are you?"

"Hekate, right hand of the God of the underworld and Goddess of souls, the witch, call me whatever you like"

"Hekate, the greek Goddess ?"

"Ara! Exactly, I thought the world forgot us"

"I see...Alright, I've a lot of questions right now. Mind giving me some answers?"

"Kus.... Kus.... Kus.... You just arrived and want answers. Don't you feel angry that the world has been cruel to you"

"I don't mind, the world is full of cheats"

"Kus.... Kus.... Kus.... I trying to like you now, you aren't as stupid as you look"

" Do you mind telling me the reason I'm here than been in the gate of judgement to see my deed"

"Kus....Kus.... I randomly selected you for a reason as a reward. When you died, I summoned your soul. "

"Oh, and Goddesses summon each and every dead soul for a pleasant chat, do they? Given the number of dead people, either there are an infinite number of deities or they have way too much free time.....or perhaps I was summoned here for a particular reason?"

"Well you're smart but that's right. Normally, souls are bleached to clear away the smears of memory and the like, and then quickly recycled. Because we too, don't have time to waste."

Ishimaru already gotten a bad feeling about whatever it is that she's dragged him here to talk about. He has his doubts on her but...

But she was so natural, it was unnatural. Like someone reading out aloud something that they already know by-heart. She can also do something similar, but not this perfectly. Or rather, no human should be capable of doing this. That alone convinces him that, at the very least, she is definitely not human.

"Alright then. Tell me why you summoned me here."

He really can't bring himself to accept this reality and her story of summoning him. Still, given the situation, he can't risk her displeasure.

"Very shrewd. Alright, here are your choices. You can have your soul bleached, and be reborn as someone new... or you can accept my request and be reincarnated in another world with your knowledge and experience intact."

If he go with the first option, he would no longer be myself. With the other option, atleast it could be said to be a continuation of this life, in a way. The proposition of continuing this life is very attractive.

Till now, he'd lived as a tool for liars. Only to be betrayed by the world. And despite all that, given all that she's said so far, the reason he was summoned here and her request for him can only be one thing. One that he find less than desirable at the moment.

"Let's cut to the chase. Why am I really here, you said I save none, then what's the reason you have chosen me"

"Alright. Shortening this discussion is also beneficial to me. You are exactly the kind of person I expected you to be. "I want you to help the people of the Hero in a fantasy world of lies, greed, and magic."

"A Hero? Is there such a thing as a fantasy world? ... wait, guard against the hero?"

Even as he asked for it, information about the new world began to flow into me.

"Why is there a Hero? Isn't he supposed to look after the world?"

"I want him dead, tortured, or disabled."

"Why do you require his death?"

"Every decade, a demon king and a Hero are summoned, but I predict that the Hero summoned now is consumed by personal greed and selfish desires, and he uses his powers to wreak havoc on the world. So I despise his guts, which is why you've come here."

"So, the Hero is decay, and you expect me to defeat him?"

"Ara, you're so smart."

Somewhere, The Main Character feels a connection to his case.

"I'll leave you alone if you don't want to do it. But chances are he'll do what I predicted." She stated

So all he has to do now is reincarnate in order to stop the Hero?

"So, I'm to dispose of the Hero, who becomes unnecessary after kiling the Demon King," he walks to the witch goddess. Then, won't I, who kills the Hero, be rendered obsolete this time?"

"I will send you as the next demon king to guide your subordinates. I'll leave you alone if you don't want to do it. And you don't have that kind of power, and even if I could give you that kind of power, I wouldn't pick you right away."

The goddess stroked his chin and smiled bewitchingly.

"OK!... I chose to be the demon king because I'm confident you can trust me and that I will do everything in my power to stop the hero."

"Kus....Kus.... I see, wonderful; well, you have my blessings."

"So now What?"

"Kus... Kus...As a matter of fact, the world where you go as the Demon King is a good choice to kill the hero."

Ishimaru remained silent as she spoke. The goddess spoke while her smile grew brighter.

"You should not be concerned. I'll resurrect you in a form suitable for beginning as a Demon King, with the simple task of killing or stopping the Hero. If you expect more, well...I guess it's all up to you."

"Then I'll depart; guide me as I carry out your wish."

"Ara, what a wonderful candidate I have chosen for you; may you enjoy your new life and be warned that there will be consequences if you betray it."

"I understand"

"Kus...Kus...Farewell, demon king," she said, swinging her arm and transforming Ishimaru into a spirit.

"Your new self's name is... Let's see what happens, un.... I'll think about it until I'm finished making you."

It was there that the consciousness that was once Syunsaku Ishimaru died and was reborn as the demon king who would stop the hero.
