The additional two stripes on the badge on the chest of Peace Party members represent their loyalty to the Peace Party, and before the Apocalypse, it was a world where there was no need for pretense or flattery. There was no need to talk about one's worldview, no dissatisfaction with nepotism, and no need to abide by any morality. The Apocalypse was just that bare.
For those in power, loyalty is what they desire most, regardless of one's abilities. Even if your abilities are poor, as long as your loyalty is shown, you can have everything!
Those in power are not lacking people with abilities; what they lack most are people they can trust!
Those who have abilities but no loyalty are like time bombs, a ticking danger that always threatens to explode when held in one's hands!
