Chapter 16 - Aunty's anger

Part 16.

"Mom... let's go to the nearest clinic for treatment, let's go!" take me, when finished eating.

"No need, Vir! You'll be taken to rest later

get well!" Mother refused.

I went to the kitchen looking for a kitchen spice, which is called ginger. Luckily it was still there, left as big as a thumb. After washing, I put the ginger in a pot and boil it with three cups of water.

After the boiled water recedes, I pour it into a glass and then add lime juice. "Hopefully this warm water can reduce mother's cough," I prayed in my heart.

"Mom ... drink, yes, to reduce the cough!" I asked while giving them ginger water.

"What is this, Vir?" Mother asked.

"This is ginger water stew with the taste of lime, with a little honey added!" I explained.

"Wow, what does that feel like, Sis?" Riki asked while squinting one eye.

"Ahh, it's too bad! It's warm and sweet," said Raka.

"This recipe is often made by Aunt, if Uncle, Iwan is coughing!" I explained. Mother slowly drank the boiled water that I gave her.

"Oh yeah, I almost forget Vira is here to give money to Mom and sister!"

"Mom ... this is a little bit of Vira's savings!

Save it to buy medicine and necessities

everyday.

"I handed over some blue banknotes to Mother.

"This is for your pocket money!" I said to Raka and Riki.

"Fun... we got it too! Thank you, Sis!" exclaimed my two sisters.

"Yeah, you're welcome," I said while hugging

and ruffled their hair.

"Vira ... Auntie you will be angry if you know this savings money is given to Mother!"

"Auntie won't know, Mom!" I said.

I told Mother about Aunt Titin who had stopped working. Mother can only say patient words to me.

"Vira... be patient! Wait until you finish high school, after that you can find a job!"

"Yes, Mom! If you remember you and your younger siblings, Vira becomes enthusiastic about learning, so that you can graduate quickly!"

"Well, that's how it is! You are my mother's hope to help the family's economy! Your sister is still in junior high school, and needs money," said Mother quietly.

"Yes, Mom, Vira understands."

"Be obedient to Aunt and Uncle, if you don't like silence, don't argue!"

Soon the call to prayer was heard from the end of the alley. I glanced at the watch on my hand, it was four in the afternoon. It's time to go home Aunt.

*****

"Where are you from, hah?!" Sis Maya is already standing in front of the door.

I got home almost sunset because the wait for public transportation was quite long. Hmm, my naughty cousin turned out to have gone home earlier than me.

"Vira from Mother's house, Sis!" I answered slowly.

"Why don't you ask Mr. Ahmad to pick you up? Did you go to your mother's house or did you go with the guy from yesterday?!" accused Sis Maya.

"Vira takes a bus home, Sis! The roads are jammed, so I arrived home late," I explained defensively.

"When Mama comes home, I will report to him!"

"If you don't believe me, just call my mom!"

Suddenly the phone in my bag vibrated. Sis Maya sharpened her ears and glared at me.

"Since when did you have a cell phone? Who gave it to you?"

This cousin of mine has goddess-level jealousy. Since then, he has not been tired of nagging until the veins in his neck are visible.

"This cell phone, Auntie who bought it for me, Sis! The first time I entered school three months ago!" I explained.

Sis Maya immediately fell silent, she entered the house and went upstairs. It's definitely going to be noisy, I thought about the cellphone problem.

The cell phone in the bag was still ringing. I grabbed the flat object and rubbed the screen. There's a phone call from Mom.

["Assalamu'alaikum, Mom."]

["Wa'alaikumsalam, Vira."]

["You've arrived home, haven't you?"]

["Alhamdulillah, yes, Mom!"] I answered.

["Oh-thank God. Because it's already Maghrib."]

["Vira is all right, Mom."]

["Well, be careful there, okay!"] Mom's message ended the call.

After changing clothes, I went into the bathroom to clean myself and then took the ablution water. Then perform the obligatory prayers of three raka'at

After sunset, I heard a car horn, I ran outside to open the gate. Aunt and Uncle Iwan just got home from the shop.

My job is only to open the gate when they come home. The rest is the job of Mr. Ahmad. After that, I went straight to the kitchen to cook and prepare dinner.

While I was busy mixing spices and cutting vegetables, I heard a noise coming from Sis Maya's mouth. It turns out that Sis Mila, it's late at night, and hasn't come home from campus yet.

It was Maya who was blamed for forgetting to pick up her sister. Sis Mila's cell phone could not be contacted, and the whole house became anxious.

"Anyway, Mila can go home by taxi online!" she grumbled.

"You know, taking a taxi online is dangerous

if it's a night like this!" Aunty Nur scolded.

"Try calling the cell again!" Uncle Iwan ordered.

"Halah ... at least Mila's cellphone is low,

That's why I can't be contacted!" she said casually

"You are really outrageous, Maya! Take this matter lightly!" said the aunt.

"If anything happens to your sister, watch out, okay!" snapped Uncle Iwan.

Finished serving dinner on the table. I took the initiative to call Sis Mila, who knows her cell phone is already active. I went into the room and grabbed the flat object on the study table. I looked for Sis Mila's number on my cell phone. Well, I found this, I immediately pressed the green button.

Tried three times, but Sis Mila's cell phone is still not active. I glanced at the round object on the wall of the room, it was already nine o'clock at night. I tried to call again, and it worked, the cellphone was active.
