Chapter 6 - Mother's decition

Part 6.

"You brought money, didn't you?" Triana asked.

"So what?" I asked.

"We'll just go by public transportation, just walk home! So we don't have to wait long there!" she explained.

"Oh-there is! I brought this kind of money!" I showed you the green paper money.

"Wow, this is too much! It only costs two thousand rupiahs!" Triana said.

"Yes-alright, go and return we ride just take a bus, so you don't get tired!" I suggested.

"Okay, okay! Use my money first and go! Later you come back, you pay!" Triana said while rounding her two fingers.

We immediately stopped the public transportation to the school. Not bad, the passengers in it are not too full. So you can sit comfortably.

The bus stops right in front of the high school, Triana gets off first, then pays the fare.

"Brother ... this is the fare for two people!" Triana said while pointing at me.

After receiving the change, we entered the school grounds. Already many participants have registered. The two of us joined the queue to take forms in front of the picket desk.

"Hay... you were the one who came yesterday afternoon, right?" "Uh, yes, sir!" I replied surprised.

It turned out to be a security guard, a sign with my face. He poked his shoulder and came to me.

"Your friend wants to register too, ya?"

"Yes, sir," I said again.

"Where are your diplomas, I want to see?"

I opened the blue folder and showed him the diploma grade. Triana also did the same thing.

"Wow, I hope you pass! Your grades are very good!" he praised.

"Thank you, just pray, sir!" I said.

Soon the security guard handed us two forms. Alhamdulillah, he helped us, so we don't have to queue too long. There are still good people willing to help us at a time like this.

Triana and I sat in the corner of the room, there were several tables and chairs specially provided for participants who wanted to fill out forms. While reading the prayer in my heart, I began to write the full name, then the full address. When I filled in the names of my parents, I stopped writing while pensive.

"Viraa, are you done yet?" Triana asked startling me from my daydream. I shook my head a sign that it wasn't finished.

I'm confused, usually, your name is listed as the name of your parents. But now he is gone and not coming back. I wrote my mother's full name as a single parent. Parents who will be responsible for their three children.

Half an hour later all the requirements to register I have fulfilled. I gave the form along with the blue folder to the picket teacher who was on duty today. He wrote the serial number ten in front of my folder.

We saw the next announcement on the school wall. Registration is only open for three days. A week after this, the graduation announcement will be out.

"Vira ... before going home, let's take a photo, at the end of the park!" invite Triana while pointing small garden beside the school entrance.

"What photo did you use?" I asked confused.

"Use this please!" Triana took out a cellphone with an apple logo from her bag.

"Wow, your cellphone is very good! It must be expensive!" praise me.

"He-hee, yes, please! Buy it at a special Mall selling cellphones," she explained.

Triana pulled my hand towards the garden. And cekrek ... cekrek ... we were both busy taking selfies. I saw Triana's cellphone, the camera was very good. She said he could also make video calls if he already had a four-G network.

I was reminded of the cellphone that my mother used, the camera was small, and it could only make calls and text messages. You can take selfies, but the results are blurry, and not as clear as my friend's cellphone camera. When I work, I want to buy a cellphone like Triana's, I said to myself.

When I got home, I saw there was a black deer car, it must be Aunt Nur's car. Sure enough, she was sitting in the living room with my mother and two sisters.

"Assalamu'alaikum," I said.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," said a voice from inside.

"Where's Vira?" asked Aunt Nur.

"From a friend's house, Auntie," I said.

"Vira Come sit next to Mother!"

Turn their faces really serious like they want to talk about something, I thought. On the table was a black package, most of which contained basic necessities for us, I guessed.

"Viral, will you open the package?" said Aunt Nur, pointing to the table.

Out of curiosity, I immediately took the black package and opened it. Sreet... I tore up the package, it turned out that it was not groceries but a gray-white uniform.

I turned my gaze towards Mother and Aunt Nur. I want to hear an explanation from them.

"That's a uniform for you, Vir!" Mother said.

"So Vira can go to school again, ya, Mom?!" I shouted happily.

"Yes, son!" Mother said as she hugged me.

"However, you must come and live with Auntie!" said Aunt Nur surprising

"I don't have money anymore for your school! So if you live there, the school distance is closer," said Mother.

I don't understand their way of thinking. If you want to help, Auntie can give me school fees and other necessities, you don't have to live with her. Mother still needs my strength to take care of the house and help her work at Mrs. Murni's house.

"Well, don't be sad, Vira! You can stay at Mother's house once a week!" said Aunt Nur.

"Besides, Auntie's house is only an hour away from ours. You can come here by public transportation!" Mother explained.

If it's Mother's decision like this, I dare not argue. Moreover, he had just recovered from depression and did not want to add to the burden on his mind anymore.

Three more days Auntie comes here to pick you up, yes, Vir!"

I just nodded my head while folding the school uniform that Aunt gave me.

After Auntie came home, I went straight to my room. I lay on the edge of the bed dreaming. It is hard for me to part with my mother and my two sisters.
