Chapter 34 - The hardships of Willow's life

Still, for the sake of fake formality, he nodded, "I'm fine."

He got up and drew a chair out for Willow. Charlie smiled, looking at him expectantly, "-Will. Aren't you going to sit?"

Willow almost jumped in surprise when he said that. So that chair was for him? Wasn't this something a guy did for a girl?!

He could only awkwardly laugh as he sat down, gaze slightly apologetic. "I'm sorry, I was just thinking about something else, haha."

Adelia, knowing full well that the only thing Charlie can do for her is pull the chair when she's about to sit down and laugh at her fall, silently drew a chair herself and sat down.

A waitress approached them and asked, "May I take your orders?"

Since Charlie bought the whole restaurant to make sure no one would get in the way, it was all empty.

Glancing over the menu disinterestedly, Willow quickly ordered. No point in wasting time choosing, after all. It's just food.

"...That's it for me. What would you like to eat, Charlie?"

Charlie smiled sweetly, "I'll just have whatever Will ordered."

Willow turned to his sister. "What about you, Adel?"

Adelia didn't reply. She was busy taking pictures to upload on XXXXgram and hadn't heard him.

He couldn't help but sigh at her vanity and was just about to repeat himself when Charlie sneered, "Willow just asked you a question, bug. Your brain was already malfunctioning, don't tell me now your ears are too?"

"I think my brain's still a lot better off than yours, Mr. Charlie Taylor."

'AAAHHH! Why do these two fight every single time they meet!?'

Since Willow couldn't exactly bang both of their heads on the table and scream his head off in frustration, he tried to make peace. "Uh, it's alright, Charlie. Now, my dear sister Adelia-"

He touched his chest warningly before continuing, "Please order quickly, unless you want to reminisce about what happened a few days ago. You don't want that, right?"

Knowing what was good for her life, she quietly slipped her phone inside her handbag before obediently picking up the menu.

The food came rather quickly. Since Willow didn't want any more drama, he hung his head low, focusing every bit of his attention on a single strand of noodle to appear busy. Fortunately, those hot headed brats also kept their tempers in check and ate in silence.

All of a sudden, Willow felt a little ominous, like someone was watching him. He turned, only to find the area empty. Maybe it was his imagination...

Done with his food, he quietly wiped his mouth with a handkerchief before getting up. "Charlie, Adel, I'll be back in a minute," He glanced at the two of them, eyes full of worry. God knows what state this place will be in by the time he returns.

"Uh, please try not to kill each other while I'm away?"

Charlie nodded like an obedient puppy and said, "Of course, Will, I won't give her any reaction. The best way to deal with stupid people is to ignore them, after all."

Adelia also nodded quietly, showing she understood. Honestly, this male lead pissed her off so much, but what can she do? She's just a very beautiful and amazing extra, no match for the main character.

Willow sighed and left quietly. It was absolutely impossible for them to not fight, but hopefully, they won't be at each other's throat by the time he returned.

Life is hard, but what can we do?
